December 31 · MaggieThis is a good neighborhood gyro and sandwich shop. They have a limited amount of seating in the back so it's mainly a grab and go type place. It gets quite busy sometimes but the food is great, very flavorful and filling. They also have some options for hot food, made fresh. This isn't meant to be a fine dining place, but they nail the most important part which is tasty food.
January 28 · Najeeb AbdullahI may have visited the Sandwich shop at Steinway one other time in the past but have been wanting to go there again for a long time. My friend and I ended up going the other day and the food did not disappoint. We had the olive chicken with rice and lamb shank with fries. The food was excellent and the serving quantity generous. The service wasn't great as the guy behind the counter was a little rude. However, I had low expectations with the service anyway. I would go back to this place though. Heard good things about their liver sandwich which I'll try next time.
March 02 · Shah QuaderyWho orders non-sandwich items at a sandwich shop? Well in that case, don’t be like me. We made the mistake in ordering beef shank, lamb shank, harrira soup and a cheese burger. We ordered both shanks with rice, and only got the beef shank with rice, the lamb shank with fries sprinkled on top. I went back and asked for rice, and got ignored. I know they’re busy, but please learn how to listen while taking orders instead of ringing up another customer at the same time. The food wasn’t that great. The lamb meat on the bone was hard to pull off, and wasn’t succulent. The fries got soggy in the stew. The beef shank was full of fat and not flavorful. The rice was clumpy and cold. The harrira soup was subpar. The entire experience was sloppy, as we were just forcing ourselves to eat so as not to waste food. When it came to paying, of course we fought to pay, overlooking the breakdown. However we did notice they overcharged us for the lamb shank. On the wall and paper menu it says $13, but they charged us $20. When we asked about the price difference, they just said “this was before and everything went up”. I understand that but please reflect that in the current menu price. It’s unscrupulous to advertise one price and charge another.
September 16 · Mimmoon CI tried lamb shank here but tonight it was just waste of money. The rice and salad was disgusted and smell very bad. Please do not eat here. The lamb shank is slightly fine.
