What is Worth Choosing
Choosing what to order at Halal Top Grill comes down to balancing familiar Halal comforts with the exciting Asian-inspired offerings. If you're a first-time visitor in the New York area looking for the best of what this Jamaica spot offers, it's highly recommended to explore their unique fusion items.
The Rice Bowl and Teriyaki sections are arguably the most compelling parts of the menu. Specifically, the Chicken Katsu Rice Bowl or the Grilled Salmon Rice Bowl provide a substantial, well-rounded meal. These bowls offer a base of rice topped with a choice of protein, marrying the satisfying foundation of a Halal platter with a distinctly Asian preparation method. The Chicken Katsu Rice Bowl, in particular, has received positive attention for its flavor profile. Alternatively, the Beef Teriyaki or Chicken & Shrimp Teriyaki plates are solid choices for a less fried but equally flavorful experience, allowing you to sample their fresh sauces and grilled proteins.
Another highly recommended section is the Ramen Soup. New York winters, or even just a chilly evening, call for a warm, deeply flavored broth, and the Seafood Ramen or Beef Ramen offer that comforting, hearty experience not typically found at a Halal-focused restaurant. Adding a cup of one of their specialty Boba Teas, such as the Mango Boba Tea, is the perfect way to finish off a large meal, providing a sweet and chewy counterpoint to the savory main course. While some customers have noted that the fried rice and teriyaki can sometimes be on the dry side, requesting Extra Sauce on the side—whether the White Sauce, Hot Sauce, or Teriyaki Sauce—is an easy way to customize and ensure a moister dish. Ultimately, the generous portions and the rare combination of Halal with diverse Asian styles make a visit to Halal Top Grill an exploration of flavor and value that's well worth the trip in Queens.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Service staff was accomidating and fast. The staff helped my mentally disabled friend order his food. Vegetable Fried Rice was on point, and I received a large portion. My Mango Boba Tea was at the right ratios. I also had Beef Teryaki, and my friend had chicken Teryaki.
August 02 · Jacob MartinI recently noticed a new halal spot offering Asian-inspired dishes and decided to give it a try and got takeout. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with fried rice and a chicken katsu bowl. Unfortunately, the chicken teriyaki and fried rice lacked flavor and were a bit dry. The dish could really benefit from some additional sauce in the bowl and / or on the side, and the fried rice could use more seasoning or other flavorful elements. There were only a few pieces of broccoli, which were tasty, but I would have liked to see more vegetables, perhaps mushrooms or other additions, to round out the dish. The chicken katsu bowl, on the other hand, had more flavor. The chicken was crispy and came with some sauce on the chicken, though I think the bowl would have been better with either more sauce or a side of a different sauce to pour in. Like the teriyaki dish, the rice in this bowl was also on the dry side because the lack of sauce and a few extra vegetables or different vegetables would have improved it. That said, the chicken katsu itself was enjoyable. One thing I appreciated about both dishes was the portion sizes—they were pretty generous.Overall, the two dishes I tried were decent. This spot has more items on the menu, so I’d be willing to give it another chance, especially since it's new. I hope they take feedback into account and make some improvements to their dishes.
September 16 · Rafid HasanA new halal spot in the neighborhood and pretty decent food. The fried chicken was pretty good. I wish the wings were fried a bit more. I like my chicken with some color. Both had a southern fried chicken consistency rather than asian fried chicken which I liked. The tako yaki was above average. Boba was just ok. Will def come back to try other menu items.
July 31 · Farah MahPrompt and friendly service. Tasty food. We tried the ramen, teriyaki beef, katsu, fired chicken buns and fried dumplings. Everything was great, just fyi the teriyaki beef is made from ground beef.
August 02 · Ahmad HamidI ordered beef teriyaki and Boba tea from this place. Grand opening, it’s best food in the town, definitely come back. Highly recommend!
