---Features / Highlights
The menu at Hang Hot Pot Place is a celebration of spicy, customizable Asian cuisine, highlighted by its specialized hot pot and traditional snack offerings.
Signature Hot Pot & Noodle Dishes:
The Ma La Tang (Spicy Soup Hot Pot): This section features the popular soup-based hot pot, which comes with customizable ingredients like glassine noodles and vegetables included in the base broth. Key preparations include **Beef Mala Tang**, **Lamb Mala Tang**, **Seafood Mala Tang**, **Fish Fillet Mala Tang**, and **Beef Tripe Mala Tang**. Patrons are strongly advised, based on customer feedback, to be extremely cautious with the spice level, as even 'little spicy' is genuinely intense.
The Spicy Fragrant Pot (Spicy Dry Hot Pot): A unique, stir-fried version of hot pot where selected ingredients are tossed in an aromatic, fiery sauce rather than submerged in broth. Options are scaled by size, accommodating everything from a **Spicy Dry Hot Pot For One** up to a **Spicy Dry Hot Pot For Six**. Customers select their base protein and then add from a wide range of **Spicy Fragrant Pot Toppings**.
Value-Focused Single Set Meals: To simplify the ordering process for **Solo dining** and provide excellent value, the restaurant offers set combinations that include a main dish, a side, and a drink, such as: **「Single Set Meal」Spicy Dry Hot Pot For One (With Rice)+Taiwanese Style Sausage+Sprite** and **「Single Set Meal」Beef Mala Tang+White Rice+Sprite**. Classic Taiwanese Snacks and Sides: Complementing the main dishes are traditional appetizers that enhance the dining experience, including **Stinky Tofu**, the flavorful **Salt Crispy Chicken**, and **Taiwanese Style Sausage ($8.00)**. Other authentic sides include **Pig Intestine With Garlic Sauce ($8.00)** and **Slice Pork With Garlic Sauce ($8.00)**.

---What is Worth Choosing at Hang Hot Pot Place
Hang Hot Pot Place is an excellent choice for New Yorkers, particularly those in the Queens area, seeking authentic, customizable, and high-heat Asian **Comfort food**. The restaurant’s greatest value lies in its specialized focus on two major Chinese street food trends: **Ma La Tang** and **Spicy Dry Hot Pot**. The restaurant’s **Single Set Meals** are highly worth choosing, offering a convenient, affordable, and complete option for a quick **Lunch** or **Solo dining** experience without the complexity of weighing ingredients. For those dining in **Groups**, the **Spicy Dry Hot Pot** options for two or more provide a fantastic, communal, and intensely flavorful meal. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The food was good but the place isn’t as clean as you think. But the food was good. I have had the beef mala soup and boy if you can’t take the spice request either not spicy or tiny bit. If you say little spicy it was really spicy, so be sure to get a drink to cool it down. Their soups are all the same just different toppings. The soup itself have veggies and glassine noodles. Those are my favorite.
May 31 · Annie Swould not recommend. we usually eat at other businesses inside New York Food court. Decided to try this place for the mala pot. When you pick out the ingredients they charge by the pound. around 13 dollars per pound for meat and around 10 dollars per pound for veggie. When you pick ingredients, they will give you a large quantity. We only had 2 people eating mala pot and the portion they took was like for 4 people at least. I feel because you are paying by pound they will try to make as much money by overloading. If you want to make money, you got to do it honestly.Anyway, we had soo much left over that it no longer will be fresh if we decide to eat it another day.Normally when we eat at other shops, its about $15 to $20 per person but this shop we spent more than $60 for two people. Will not eat at this place again.
April 12 · Paul MaOrdered on Uber eatsIf you’re looking for spicy, numbing tongue coating flavor, look somewhere elseMeats and veggies were dry, the flavor was really lacking
May 24 · Fit. TiffanieThey use metal bowls and do not tare the weight of the bowl before they grab the meat, veggies, and seafood, meal is by weight so you basically getting scammed. Make sure you make them tare the bowl before you order your meal. Food doesn’t look too fresh either.
January 07 · Brandon HI UberEats ordered from Hang. I don’t know why they have only 3 stars because the food I got was fantastic. This was the first time I ordered from them and I got the two rice bowl meal with like 27+ choices. The entree was stored in two separate containers. I got my mix mildly spicy but it was more spicy than I can kinda handle. It was still delicious. I had enough food to make a lunch for myself the next day. I know the pics might look unappetizing but it’s actually delicious. This is the first time I’ve had dry hot pot, and I’m hooked!
