Choosing Hanoi House is a decision to experience a taste of Vietnam that is both authentic and modern. What makes it truly worth choosing is its unwavering focus on a core, high-quality product, the Hanoi-style pho. A customer review highlights this perfectly, noting the "astounding pho with an intriguing selection of meats," and declaring it "one of the best soups I've ever had." This kind of praise from a real customer is the best endorsement a restaurant can have.
Furthermore, the value for money is exceptional, especially considering the quality and location. The review mentioning "$10 cocktails. $8 wine. $4 beer happy hour" and a price of "$23 per person" for a great meal is a strong indicator that Hanoi House offers a fantastic deal. It’s a place where you can get a high-quality, flavorful meal without breaking the bank, a rarity in this part of New York.
The atmosphere also plays a crucial role. The "cozy and trendy" vibe, combined with the "kind and friendly" staff, creates a dining experience that feels special and welcoming. The fact that the pho can be split "between two people" shows a customer-centric approach that encourages sharing and a sense of community. For those seeking a memorable meal that combines amazing food, a great atmosphere, and a reasonable price point, Hanoi House is the perfect choice. It's a true St. Marks delight that lives up to its reputation and delivers a delicious, homey, and authentic Vietnamese experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place has astounding pho with an intriguing selection of meats (that convinced me to try all of them). I ordered the House Special Pho + tendons and it was honestly one of the best soups I've ever had.The waitress we had was also very kind and friendly, and while the seating in doors can be a little cramped, it's nicely decorated and the music delivers a sophisticated vibe. Also my group had a reservation so it's probably safer to reserve.
September 11 · NeonD00mA st. Mark’s delight! $10 cocktails. $8 wine. $4 beer happy hour. Plenty of seating. Pho was so good and they can split it between two people. Fresh rolls with peanut sauce were amazing. $23 per person! Really really great viet food that is homey and on a beautiful street.
August 09 · Isabella GrandicWe got here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. I was intrigued when seeing Pho Bac (which was an indication of Northern Pho) on the menu so I decided to try it, along with Bun Cha and Cuu La Lot (Lamb meat roll).Service was decent, although we did have to wait quite a bit for our food. The lamb dish was definitely fusion-style. It was different than traditional Beef one, but acceptable. Bun Cha was pretty good. The fish sauce was less sweet than other places that I’ve been to. I was hopeful about the Pho Bac but it turned out to be a disappointment. This Pho dish is nothing authentic. In fact, it was just a fusion attempt on an existing southern Pho soup. It felt a bit misleading, since it was not northern Pho. Curious, I asked if the owner was Vietnamese, and the waitress told me no. It confirmed my suspicion that this place was ran by someone not from northern Vietnam, but attempted to create some fusion-style northern Viet dishes.Overall the ambiance of this place is kinda cool and interesting. Food was okay, mediocre and not authentic at all. If you want a different approach on Viet food, this place is decent choice. But don’t come here expecting any authentic taste.
June 17 · Su TranWe came here because we were craving Hanoi-style bun cha from our visit to Vietnam last year. Hanoi House does not disappoint!! We also loved the egg coffee and pork spring rolls. The lively atmosphere with the weekend sidewalk seating is incredible and a great way to enjoy a meal in the city.
June 09 · Stefanie GreenDelicious appetizers and pho. The broth is very flavorful and fatty, but depending on which pho you choose, it can get pricey. The bone marrow could be better. It lacked actual flavor - I only tasted fat and oil. The open kitchen area is cool.
