★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We initially came in to try the egg tarts. We got 1 of each and picked up a rice ball too. The coconut egg tart wasn’t so great. It was dry to the mouth. You need a cup of tea or coffee to help wash it down. The Portuguese egg tarts and regular egg tart was great. Nice filling and the crust was nice and flaky. There’s a large selection of the rice balls, we got the spicy salmon and it did not disappoint. Coming back to try the other flavors.
June 02 · John YThe prices here are actually just so great. $2.75 onigiri. So many fun fillings (all the classics, BEC, butter chicken, etc). All the classic Chinese bread desserts. Egg tarts. Small cakes. Pork floss buns. Pineapple buns for $1.50.Cash only!! No card or Venmo. The onigiri don’t have that much filling, but they’re big and have a lot of rice. Definitely a solid snack and value for money. The bubble tea place attached is top tier.
July 13 · Cassia AHarpers is only a block away from the Grand St D stop, making it a super convenient place to pop into. I have been coming here for yearssssss. They have so many options of onigiri rice balls! Perfect for a snack or a meal if you grab more than one. The egg tarts here are a solid choice. I always always also get the dried pork cake. Good balance of sweet and savory.
April 08 · Jessica YangThis was my last stop on my Chinatown food adventure, and it was definitely worth it. I came for the boba tea since it's only $5. The shop has a nice, cozy setup with seating and even a couch, making it a nice spot to sit for a while and relax. The first section had dessert. The back is where I order my boba. They offer a variety of boba options and you can customize your drink like if you want 25% sugar. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you in Chinatown. Can be your last stop to wash everything down after eating all those food.
September 06 · Travel With ChynaExperience/Environment: This place is a hidden gem. You walk in and it’s not very appealing but it has soooo many things. Cases of pastries, breakfast foods, desserts, you name it. If you walk deeper, there’s the beverage bar. But wait, the ladies at the pastry cases have drink menus too. Idk, this place was just dope.Price: GREAT. Bring cash.Food: Delish. The drink I got wasn’t great. But I think it was me. I ordered something new. They made it and I just didn’t like it.Service: Awesome. Auntie was very nice. Answered all my questions, and I didn’t have to wait long at all.NTT [[Next Time Try]]: Really wish I was more hungry or had the chance to go back. The onigiris looked delicious and a very good price.Thank me later ;) Smile, eat, hydrate. Live honest and don’t settle. Hope to see you out there! xo
