September 16 · Damahni JacksonThis place was formerly known as Egg Tart King. Not sure what's up with the name change, but I'm glad that their egg tarts have been consistently delicious all these years. In addition to the traditional egg tart, they also offer the Portuguese and egg white types. Also, can't beat the price of 90 cents/egg tart! I've also tried some of their other baked goods from time to time - all were good.Another bonus to this bakery is that every staff I've encountered is super friendly and patient, especially by Chinatown standard.
February 25 · Alice ChiuAs the closest cafe to the Grand st metro station, this is a quick place to stop and get a snack or drink. Egg tarts (90 cents) come in different flavors, such as strawberry. During the summer they ran a special on watermelon slush, 2 for $3. Only a few seats by the windows so there isn't much space. In the cold winter though it's a warm spot to grab some tea and sweets.
October 01 · Kara ThraceThis used to be called the Egg Tart King with good reason, the egg tarts here are consistently delicious! They have a variety of egg tart styles (Macau, flavored, regular, etc.) and they have not disappointed me yet. I prefer the regular or Macau style tarts, the flavored ones are ok. It's also across the street from the Grand St. station which makes it very convenient for a quick breakfast stop.
November 21 · PandaDomo NYCThis is the place to get Portugese egg tart. It is so buttery and the tart is so eggy and light! You can beat the 90 cents dessert, can you? Or you can try their coconut tart, which is unique and similar to the egg tart too. I did not try anything else here but they also sell other Chinese pastries and beverages.
