Hungry Wolf BBQ 饿狼传说 Introduce
For dedicated food enthusiasts in New York City, particularly those with a taste for authentic regional Chinese cuisine, Hungry Wolf BBQ 饿狼传说 is a name worth knowing. Located in the vibrant, culinary heart of Brooklyn's Sunset Park neighborhood, this restaurant stands out by specializing in two of the most popular and flavorful styles of Chinese cooking: robust wok stir-fries and highly seasoned Northern Chinese BBQ skewers. Far from the typical corner takeout spot, Hungry Wolf BBQ offers an authentic culinary journey, providing a truly diverse menu that caters to both adventurous palates and those seeking comforting, familiar favorites—all executed with distinct regional flair.
The name "Wok restaurant" only begins to describe the breadth of their offerings. This establishment successfully bridges the gap between casual dining and deep-cut regional specialties. Patrons can choose between the smoky, intense flavors of their grilled items—reminiscent of the popular street foods of Xinjiang—and the potent, aromatic spices of Sichuan-style wok dishes, known for their liberal use of chili and numbing peppercorns. This dual focus makes it a unique destination in the NYC food scene, providing multiple satisfying dining experiences under one roof. The availability of multiple service options, from dine-in to no-contact delivery, positions Hungry Wolf BBQ as a flexible and essential local dining amenity for the busy New Yorker in the 11220 area. As confirmed by satisfied local reviews, the quality of the food—particularly the signature lamb and chicken skewers—and the attentive service make this a highly recommended spot.
Hungry Wolf BBQ 饿狼传说 is centrally located in a high-traffic section of Sunset Park, placing it squarely within Brooklyn’s most dynamic Asian culinary hub. The restaurant's specific address ensures easy access for both local residents and visitors traveling to the area specifically for the food scene.

For drivers, the reality of city parking applies: Paid street parking is the standard provision. New Yorkers planning to visit should factor in the time and cost associated with securing a spot in this popular commercial zone. The restaurant’s robust service model, which includes delivery and curbside pickup, also offers excellent alternatives for patrons who prefer not to deal with parking entirely.

Choosing Hungry Wolf BBQ is about choosing a memorable, authentic flavor experience that is difficult to replicate with standard Chinese takeout. The sheer depth and authenticity of the menu—a genuine reflection of various regional cuisines—make it a standout choice in Brooklyn.
What is truly worth choosing here is the combination of their signature offerings. You should prioritize the BBQ Skewers, especially the highly recommended Lamb Skewers, which offer that distinct, smoky, cumin-spiced flavor profile characteristic of Northern Chinese and Xinjiang barbecue. The quick preparation of the skewers, as noted by customers, ensures they arrive hot and perfectly charred.
Beyond the grill, exploring the **Chef Special** wok dishes is essential for a complete experience. A selection like the Boiled Fish Slices or the Fried Blue Crab In Hot Spicy Sauce provides a potent, complex heat and aromatic flavor that is a hallmark of high-quality Sichuan cooking. The option for unique appetizers, such as the Stinky Tofu, also provides an opportunity to dive deeper into authentic, lesser-seen street food traditions in New York City.
Finally, choosing Hungry Wolf BBQ is worth it for the sheer convenience. With **Dine-in** for a vibrant evening, and **Curbside pickup** and **No-contact delivery** for a quick and easy meal, the restaurant ensures that access to authentic, high-quality Chinese BBQ and wok cooking is never more than a call or click away for the residents of Brooklyn. Hungry Wolf BBQ 饿狼传说 Reviews
Went with friends and family today, and I highly recommend their chicken and lamb skewers! Service was great, and food was ready pretty quickly.
July 31 · Xiujuan LiuA very authentic barbecue restaurant with a good atmosphere. I recommend it.
August 06 · 郑KatieIt tastes great and the whole family loves it.
September 27 · Luna lizzy hanDon't order the crispy oily side, it's completely deceiving... It also smells sour, I called for consultation and the attitude was very bad.
July 15 · Mengshi Lin1. I made an appointment several days in advance, but when I checked, I found that they didn’t record it for me. Fortunately, I was more careful and checked it an hour in advance.2. When checking, the owner asked us if we could leave at 6:30pm and we agreed. But before the time came, he kept urging us to leave, saying that the next group of customers had arrived. Different people urged us twice!3. Wang Laoji charged me $3 for one bottle, but only refunded $4 for two bottles that I didn’t finish. I realized that I was cheated by this and I don’t want to go back and talk about it for $2! I will not patronize again!
