Testimonials from repeat customers underscore the swift service and the fresh quality of the food, especially for their celebrated Dim Sum offerings. This efficiency is often cited as a key reason why patrons return frequently, cementing Jade Asian Bistro’s reputation as a go-to Chinese restaurant in the immediate region and beyond.
However, as with many highly busy establishments, especially during peak holiday periods, occasional service challenges can arise, as detailed in some customer accounts. While the vast majority of experiences highlight quick and excellent service, one detailed report points to a specific incident during Mother’s Day where a server showed clear preferential treatment and prolonged delays. Management's responsiveness to such issues, and the generally high standard of service reported otherwise, are important factors for New York diners to consider. Overall, the consistent quality of the food and the convenient accessibility strongly position Jade Asian Bistro as a premier Chinese dining destination in the Douglaston area.
With a full suite of dining services, amenities like high chairs for children, and multiple payment options including credit cards and NFC mobile payments, Jade Asian Bistro is designed to be fully accommodating to the diverse needs of the New York community. Jade Asian Bistro is a highly commendable choice for New York diners in Queens for several compelling reasons. The restaurant hits the sweet spot between traditional Chinese fare and the convenience necessary for the local lifestyle. First and foremost, the quality and speed of the Dim Sum is consistently praised by those who have been there multiple times. For residents of Douglaston, Little Neck, and nearby Queens neighborhoods, having access to fast, fresh Dim Sum without a long commute is a significant advantage. This makes it an ideal spot for a mid-day craving or a relaxed weekend brunch.
Beyond the small plates, the breadth of the main menu is also a major draw. Diners looking for a slightly elevated Chinese experience can indulge in specialty items like the Fillet Steak with Chinese Broccoli in Oyster Sauce or the crispy, savory Salt Baked Pork Chop with Pepper, providing a depth of flavor that separates it from standard fast-food options. The inclusion of free parking—a rare and highly valued amenity in New York City—combined with its accessible location right off a major expressway, makes the logistics of dining here incredibly straightforward for drivers.
Furthermore, the extensive accommodations for all guests, including full wheelchair accessibility and high chairs for families, highlights its dedication to serving the entire community. While one review points to a need for more consistent service during extremely busy holidays, the overall atmosphere is casual and the standard service is highly efficient. When factoring in the ability to make reservations, the multiple options for dining (dine-in, takeout, delivery), and the variety of menu choices ranging from comfort food to premium dishes, Jade Asian Bistro solidifies its place as a reliable and high-quality Chinese restaurant that New Yorkers in the Douglaston area will want to frequent. It is the perfect choice for those prioritizing fast, fresh, and authentically flavored Chinese food in a convenient Queens location.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I came here at least 7-8 times already. It’s a pretty small dim sum place but I got seated right away. Food came really fast and there wasn’t much of a wait time unlike larger restaurants. Food is fresh and really delicious. This is now my to go dim sum restaurant and it’s also not too far from home.
September 23 · Rachel QiWe had 6:30pm reservations for Mother’s Day, and given that it’s a holiday, we understand that it will be busy and the service may be slow. There was a table that got seated half an hour next to us after we sat down. At this time, we have been asking for this woman to take our order, in which she kept saying she will come back. Throughout the next half an hr, we kept asking for us to just put our order in but she kept brushing us off, with attitude, while simultaneously bringing the table next to us their ten-course meal. Now mind you, at this point, we have sat down for an hour, and our order hasn’t even been taken, yet the table next to us had their ten course meal half an hr after they had gotten seated. At this rate, I was outraged because she was clearly ignoring us and favoring the other table. If all tables were behind, I would’ve understood. But because she was rude every time we asked, and she served the table next to us all their food, I was outraged. Not to mention, I have a fifteen month old toddler and a five year old, who do not want to sit still for so long and are hungry. I even brought my toddler to play outside of the restaurant to kill time, and when I came back, our order was still not taken. After raising our voices, because she clearly didn’t care, another server came to take our order, which took no more than two minutes. Two minutes that this woman refused to give us, but had 30 minutes for the table next to us.Again, I would’ve understood if she was sympathetic and if all the tables were running behind because it was a holiday. But she was outright rude and a disgrace to the restaurant.
May 10 · Fiona WongWe went there for a quick lunch before I flew home yesterday and all the dim sum, soup and beef chow fun was delicious.I would definitely come back here with no hesitation. The staff was very very attentive and prompt, the two dishes we ordered came very quickly.
June 13 · Allen YehLanded here while doing a century ride today. Sunday noon was busy but we got a large table in 5 minutes. The dim sum looks fresh and goes around in a push cart. Service was good as they came by frequently to change the plates and refill the teapot. The Tai Peng Chow Mai Fun took the show. Bursting with unique flavors. It vanished quickly…I like the venue mostly for its convenience. Situated on the L.I.E Service Rd & Marathon Pkwy.Would definitely return to try out the dinner offerings 👍
March 17 · Frugal CyclistDelicious Cantonese restaurant in Little Neck. They have a lot of space and a lot of tables and can fit a lot of parties. The restaurant consist of one big room which is decorated well and looks decent for pictures. They keep the area nice and clean. The food was very tasty and fresh. We ordered the following items for dinner for 4 people:Peking pork chop: delicious, great texture, and flavorDiced chicken & salted fish with bean curd: made very wellSteak fillet Hong Kong style: tasted good, but there were very few pieces of meatSautéed Chinese broccoli: tasty but expensive for veggiesThey also give complementary dessert with slices of oranges, and sweet green bean soup with tapioca. When we first arrived, there were a lot of people, and the wait staff was very rushed and not attentive at all. However, once things became less busy, the waiters and waitresses were much more attentive.Parking is very easy, they have a huge lot in the back, and they also have an entrance in the back of the restaurant straight from the parking lot.
