★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I happened to be in the area with a couple of friends and remembered that their location was close by. This location was featured in a Fung Bros video on YouTube very recently. Bing Fen is a traditional Chinese dessert that consist of plant based jelly with healthy toppings and ingredients. it is actually the first time I have heard of any dessert from that area in China, It is mostly Sichuan (very spicy) cuisine that we usually hear about so this was very intriguing to me and I was so excited to try this out with my friends,The place itself you may end up walking past as it is small. The counter area maybe can seat six people at most and it was kind of busy when walked in that evening. The standing area can fit a few people but luckily some people were already leaving,. Upon entering we were greeted by a tall gentleman named Yu and a very pretty lady named Zixi. I recognized her immediately from the Youtube video! She was very humble but full of energy and passion about her business. These desserts would usually complement a very spicy or heavy meal as they are very light and balanced yet very tasty.Zixi and Yu made some very helpful suggestions about what to order since this was our first visit and the menu consisted of so many options (the menu is Vegetarian with Vegan and hot options). The desserts are either served in a small four sided container or a mini cup that resembles that of bubble tea (technically not a drink even though you can drink it). The top is open faced so you can see all the toppings and they do have lids if you want to take it to go.A3 Rosie - Brown sugar base, handcrafted bing fen, rose petal jam, tapioca pearls, sweet fermented rice, haw flakes, almonds, raisins, peanuts and lemon candy. This we discovered was one of their best sellers and I can see why. The brown sugar and all the other ingredients all worked so well together. One of my friends ended up finishing this particular bing fen while we chatted with Zixi.A6 Matcha Red Bean (March Special) - handcrafted bing fen, coconut milk, red bean, matcha, taro balls and coconut shaved ice. I an so glad I came for this particular one as it was not available the in the previous month. You would think that red bean and match would not mix well but they actually work very well together. One of my favorite menu items so far and I hope they will keep it permanently.B4 Rasberry Swirl - crystal sugar base, handcrafted bing fen, organic raspberry jam, fresh raspberry and tapioca pearls. This particular one is what I had seen on Instagram. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but it does have that sweet and tart taste you would expect from raspberry.I had gone back a separate time to try some other flavors with another friend. We chose:A2 The Full Package - Brown sugar base, handcrafted bing fen, mochi, almonds, peanuts, raisins, Melon candy, haw flakes, snow mushroom, tapioca pearls and sweet fermented rice. This is similar to Rosie but with a few more ingredients and there is the only the cold Vegan version. My friend ate up all the toppings after I got a taste and then when I blinked half the cup had disappeared mysteriously when I went to chat with Yu. Needless to say my friend liked this flavor a lot.B3 ManGo - Crystal sugar base, handcrafted bing fen, mango pomelo sago, fresh mango pieces, black sticky rice ball and tapioca pearls. This one was served in a container and after you eat the manger and toppings you do have to slurp the jelly which adds to the experience. All in all, very tasty well balanced. Even after we had all eaten dinner, we still had room for these desserts as they kind of act as a refresher and palate cleanser without filling you up. It is getting warmer during the day yet still kind of chilly at night but the would make perfect desserts for the summer weather.Special shoutouts go to Zixi and Yu who I can tell honestly care about their customers. Each dessert is carefully made to order and they are very friendly and polite.
June 17 · Gregory DimSumSuch a refreshing and amazingly delicious traditional treat from Sichuan, China! It is made with nicandra physalodes jelly, which provides some nice health benefits!I tried the ManGo and Matcha Red Bean, and both were sooo good! I ate two desserts and didn't feel at all guilty or weighed down afterwards! The mango bing fen is made with fresh mango, so it automatically scored high with me. The various ingredients all made for a great combination of flavors and textures. The matcha is a special for the month of March so you gotta try it before it goes. The owner told me they have new specials each month. I can see this place becoming super busy this summer as it already seems to get a lot of business based on the hour that I was there! The owner is also super sweet and answers any questions you have about the dessert. She seems really excited to introduce this new yummy and healthy dessert to America!
March 06 · T JIt's health plus creativity for dessert. The ingredients are so fresh and there's always new seasonal special not only right now but also during the winter time it's the best place to go with friends, or by yourself, on a summer evening. My favorite ones is the passion fruit one and the... lychee!!!!The coconut bomb is also "soul" refreshing!Highly recommended!
June 06 · Ruishu WangVery chill and cozy place. The jellow is plant based, so it's halal (as long as you avoid the boozy drinks). The watermelon slushie is 5/5, strawberry peach resin is 4/5.
June 02 · Muaz OsmanUnique, healthy and creative fusion desserts and drinks! They use the freshest ingredients and offer seasonal flavors too.The people who run the place are the nicest!!I wish I didn’t live so close because I can’t help coming here EVERY DAY! Everything on the menu is amazing, but definitely try the raspberry, Jon snow, purple haze and the pina colada (if its in season).
