★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Easily the best meal of our week in New York! We visited to celebrate my spouse's birthday. The staff took wonderful care of us, noted our idiosyncratic allergies and recommended dishes and drinks. Everything was excellent; the manicotti was a highlight and we wish we'd ordered the dumplings earlier in our meal before we were full. We opted for sidewalk seating, and while the bike shop next door was a little rowdy, we never felt crowded and watching neighborhood dogs walk by was fun. Thanks for a great evening!
August 20 · Brad BuchananMy wife is Vegan and I needed a good place to take her for her birthday. We were visiting New York City, So I search far And wide to find a suitable place. I have to say that cadence was above my expectations. We ordered 90% of the menu and there wasn’t a single thing we love. Our server Iyanna had great recommendations for both food and drinks And Tony Who was at the bar was amazing as well. We were late for our reservation due to Travel conflicts And we called ahead of time and had our reservation changed without any argument. I love this place and will definitely go back. But I have to end this review with saying the cornbread and Nashville sandwich took my breath away. (Did not get a picture of everything forgot to take them food was too good)
May 02 · Bobby LewisI love this place, so many unique vegan plates. Fried tomatilas were my favorite- the coat of tofu spread is amazing. Also curried greens were very tasty and satisfying!
March 16 · Amber Boston12/10… The absolute best fine dining I’ve experienced from the vibe, customer service and high quality food. Every single delicious penny was very well spent!!! Driving back in August before closing in September.
July 24 · Krystal HCadence is one of the top vegan restaurants in NYC, serving upscale vegan soul food. I visited for the third time, to try the original menu that made them famous. In January 2025 they will be replacing the WHOLE menu, so this was my chance to try these dishes one last time. I absolutely loved the smoked grits, and was delighted by how flavorful the wedge salad was (with the perfect amount of vegan bacon and vegan ranch dressing). The sangria was the best I’ve ever had, it has a body to it that makes all other sangrias seem watery. I also enjoyed the buffalo oyster mushroom sandwich, the fried green tomatoes, the buttermilk cornbread, and the cobbler for dessert. (Yes, this is all 100% vegan!) This menu will go away completely on Jan 1, 2025…so I highly recommend at least one last visit to try these epic dishes. I’ll be back in early January to try the new ones - I have no doubt they will be equally delicious. The dining room is also beautiful, making this a great date spot, but also appropriate for a group outing or even a work dinner. I love Cadence, and can’t wait to return!
