---What is Worth Choosing
Joy Garden is highly worth choosing for its authentic, unpretentious delivery of the quintessential Bronx Chinese food experience. For many New Yorkers, the neighborhood Chinese spot is essential, and Joy Garden’s commitment to Comfort food and being responsibly priced is its strongest appeal. One customer, despite being self-proclaimed as "difficult to please," emphatically states that this is their "FAVORITE" local Chinese spot, a powerful endorsement that speaks to the restaurant's ability to consistently deliver satisfying and familiar flavors. The focus on Quick bite and small appetizer items, with exceptionally low price points like the $1.00 Egg Roll, makes it a perfect, low-commitment choice for satisfying a sudden craving or supplementing a meal.
The high ratings for service—noted as “friendly and quick”—are also a massive advantage in the busy New York market, where time is money and efficiency is key. Whether you're coming for a Lunch or Dinner, the assurance of fast, pleasant service, combined with the convenience of Takeout and the official listing of Delivery, makes Joy Garden an incredibly practical daily choice. While there is a conflicting review regarding delivery availability—where one long-time customer noted they "don't have delivery" while the service is officially listed—the official designation as a Delivery Restaurant and its listed service options should be considered the current operational status, with any service changes being best confirmed directly with the restaurant via phone.
The most critical aspect for any established local eatery is the consistency of quality. While one glowing review labels it a personal favorite, another mentions that the food is “getting worse” over a three-year period. In a professional context, this duality of feedback suggests a business that is navigating the challenges of maintaining quality control amidst changing demands. For new patrons, this means the restaurant has proven its ability to deliver an exceptional, favorite-worthy experience, but it also indicates a need for management to rigorously monitor food preparation to ensure every meal meets the highest standards that earned its initial loyalty. The large base of Locals that frequent the spot for Solo dining suggests that, on balance, Joy Garden remains a highly valuable, accessible, and affordable mainstay on Morris Park Avenue. For a dependable, quick, and affordably priced Chinese meal in a casual setting, Joy Garden remains a compelling choice for the Bronx community.

September 24 · Kiara CrespoI've been ordering from this place for three years and the food is getting worse. It's sad.
May 20 · AlessTerrible services, the dumplings are made with flour for empanadas like what! Tastes like I’m eating a Dominican empanada. 👎🏻👎🏻
March 13 · Francheska OrtegaI have been going here for 19years, a few problems over the years but I change my reviews. I order the same food each time and for some reason this woman keeps mixing up my orders, eventhough I call each week with the same, she goes out of her way to repeat the wrong order. I was on the phone for 8mins. I had to hang up. Joy Gardens use to be ok, but this person is horrible. I just saw a review 4 months ago and I thought it was just me, but its not me.
May 31 · OchojamI ordered food on the phone and the woman kept sayin the wrong order. It took about six tries to get it right. When I came to get it, the chicken wings were burned, the order was still wrong. They told us 10-15 mins to pick up the food I came 30 minutes later and the food hadn’t been cooked yet and they were not busy.
