What is worth choosing
When considering a night out for karaoke in New York, Karaoke K presents itself as a viable option, particularly for large groups seeking a private and self-contained experience. The core appeal of this establishment is its private room setup, which allows you and your friends to have a dedicated space to sing without the pressure of a public stage. A notable highlight is the reported song selection system that allows access to any song on YouTube, which is a huge advantage over venues with limited or outdated catalogs. This freedom of choice means your group can sing everything from classic hits to the latest chart-toppers, ensuring everyone finds something they love. For a party of nine, the cost per person, including a minimum spend, can come out to be quite reasonable for a night of entertainment in the city. The central Koreatown location is another major plus, making it a convenient destination for anyone in Manhattan or traveling from other boroughs. Additionally, the venue’s welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, specifically being LGBTQ+ friendly and a transgender safe space, makes it a comfortable and secure place for a diverse range of customers. For those who prioritize a low-key, group-oriented setting with a vast selection of songs, Karaoke K is a worthwhile choice. The fast service and the availability of a full bar with various drinks and food options further contribute to a comprehensive and enjoyable party experience. While some customers have noted issues with the queuing system and high costs for smaller groups with hidden fees, large parties who are aware of the minimum spend requirements and are looking for a casual and comfortable setting may still find this spot to be a solid option for their next night out.

Karaoke K Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We did karaoke from 8-11 pm on a Friday night. There was a minimum spend of $20 on top of the room fee. Came out to about $50 a person split between 9. Not unreasonable for karaoke out in the city. The room was not the prettiest but the system allowed you to do any karaoke song as long as it was on YouTube. The freedom of choice was great. The queuing system was messed up and kept clearing all of our songs. Unsure if they can fix that. Overall a decent karaoke spot.
September 11 · Esther ChoiDon’t do it, it’s a scam. I generally have a policy of giving a business the benefit of the doubt, but our experience here was so poor I’m literally writing this review while we’re still here at Karaoke K to document this experience.Be prepared for a bunch of hidden fees. They had a $20 minimum order PER PERSON on top of the base price per hour. And when we asked to extend to the next hour, they added ANOTHER $20/person minimum order. This meant that for a party of 3, the total cost for 2 hours easily came up to $220The food was no better - see photo for what they call “cheese sticks”, which was $17. It was inedible. The ramen they served was clearly cup noodles. For drinks they just hand you a can, no ice.
June 22 · Kohzy KohYou will notice that every recent review is one star because this place is a rip off under the new management. Our four person room ended up 180 dollars per hour. The base room was 60 dollars per hour which is already more than many of the karaoke places in ktown. Then they have a $20 per person per hour drink fee. And don't even think about getting food there instead of alcohol because it is terrible. The $16 mozzarella sticks were pale and disgusting. It also came with salsa instead of marinara sauce. The $12 ramen is a nongshim quality instant noodle, which admittedly was 100x better than the mozzarella sticks which we didn't finish. They also added 20% gratuity to the check so expect to pay this gratuity regardless of the quality, time amount, or number of people. The room and karaoke was okay but not worth it. Go to any karaoke place instead. It will be cheaper and better. My receipt is attached as proof.
June 22 · Eric PortalesThe karaoke system was really good! They give you the option to do Youtube karaoke or the korean karoke system which was nice. The staff were all so kind and helpful. We had such a fun time doing karaoke before we went out for a girl’s night out and it was very affordable.
July 31 · Erica KimKaraoke K was really nice. It’s super clean and everything feels new. They have both a Korean and American karaoke system, so it works for everyone. The host was really friendly and helpful too. I went with 3 people and it was only $40. Great spot—would come back.
