★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1From start to finish, Koi Omakase delivered an unforgettable dining experience. The quality of the fish was exceptional—each piece was incredibly fresh, expertly prepared, and thoughtfully presented. You can truly taste the difference in every bite. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, with a minimalist design that allowed the food to shine. It’s the perfect setting for both a special occasion or a quiet evening out.The service was equally impressive—attentive without being intrusive, and the chef took time to explain each course, adding a personal and educational touch to the experience.Highly recommend for anyone seeking top-tier sushi and a refined omakase journey.
July 15 · xiao sienTried Koi Omakase for their BOGO deal 13 courses plus miso soup for $69 for two people, running from 6/1 to 9/1. The portions were on the smaller side but I still left feeling full and satisfied. It's not your usual omakase experience though like it felt a bit rushed with how quickly the pieces came out, one after another. The sushi bar is U-shaped and can seat about 25 people. The standout piece was definitely the king salmon with foie gras like so rich and buttery. The miso soup was okay though I wish it was served a little hotter. The staff was really nice and attentive, and you can tell they're working hard to keep things moving during this promo.Fish quality was decent and a few bites had rice that didn't hold up too well, but nothing too major. For $69 total, it's hard to beat this deal in the city right now. Fun experience and solid variety with tuna, scallop, uni, unagi, shrimp, salmon foie gras, and a hand roll to finish.
July 26 · Becky ZhangWe dropping by after summer street for some sushi, but was quickly disappointed in how bland most pieces were. The initial presentation was nice and liked how some people had decorative chopstick holders. I was shocked to see 3 pieces of sushi crumbled immediately upon pick up with rice falling onto the plate. The dining area was quite loud and could not hear the chef announcing what type of sushi was each. I tried asking twice if they could repeat it/ speaking louder, but likely the chef didn't hear over the noise. As such many of the dishes I tried searching first, so forgive me if the name is off.The sea bream was my favorite with a the char adding a bit of texture complementing the rest of the fish. On the other hand, the charred spicy sushi tasted of wet charcoal. The red fatty tuna was nice with a bit of a spicy kick, but the other fatty tuna had a bit too much vinegar mixed in. The prawn had a unique texture and was surprisingly plump, but the sauce on top was poor. One of the sushi had a piece of fat that slid off immediately upon serving. The eel was a bit sweet, but on par with unagiOverall, this restaurant can be a hit or a miss - I hope the discount was not representative of the discounted quality provided, but that they were providing newer chefs a chance to serve
August 09 · Andrew LamI’ve been to this omakase place like 4 times already. I would say it is great for its price and I believe that it is worth every penny. However, I never had the BOGO deal that they’re having right now but I’ve been to their usual 69$ for an 18 course per person. I think they my favorites were the otoro with caviar, salmon with foie gras, and the Wagyu with uni on top. The chefs were nice and very friendly. I think the only thing was that one time there was like 8 of us and only 1 chef so it took longer for the food to be served.
June 09 · Kyu LinHad such a great time at Koi Omakase. The sushi was incredibly fresh and every dish was thoughtfully made. You can really taste the quality. The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the chef was so warm and welcoming. He made the whole experience feel personal and fun. It’s an intimate spot with amazing food and great vibes. Definitely one of my favorite omakase spots in Brooklyn. Can’t wait to come back!
