What is Worth Choosing
If you are visiting KTown Octopus House in Queens, start with their most celebrated dishes. The consensus among local patrons is clear: the 낙지 쌈밥 (Nakji Ssambap)—the spicy stir-fried octopus served with fresh vegetable wraps—is the ultimate must-try. This signature dish is consistently praised for the freshness of the octopus and its addictive, perfectly spiced sauce. It’s an engaging, delicious, and communal dish perfect for sharing with one or more dining companions.
Another highly recommended choice is the 해물파전 (Haemul Pajeon), or Seafood and Green Onion Pancake. Customers note this dish is delicious and perfectly made, representing a classic Korean appetizer done right. Pair any spicy dish with a bottle of 참이슬 Fresh Soju or 생막걸리 (Raw Makgeolli), traditional Korean drinks that cut through the spice beautifully.
For those who prefer comfort food or soup, the large selection of stews offers plenty of satisfying options. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1여기 꼭 와요! You must come here if you're in the area!Great portions and ingredients are so fresh too.If you like spice and seafood, 100% recommend the 낙지 쌈밥 /stir fry octopus with spicy sauce. I loved the side vegetables that were all so fresh too including kale and perilla leaf. The service was amazing and because it was not lunch rush time we got free fried fish -also fresh and nicely cooked. Side dishes are also plentiful with refills. No wait needed for a table we dined at 2pm on a Thursday.Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys Korean food with great portions for sharing.
June 19 · Grace KimLoved the signature dish, stir fried octopus (for the meal set w/ veggie wraps). It was spicy but addictive. The seafood pancake was delicious and perfectly made. The only thing we didn't enjoy as much was the pork backbone soup, pork was moist and fall off the bone but didn't enjoy the broth, too spicy. We were getting full from everything else. Came with plenty of side dishes, this can change with the seasons. Waitress was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come back again.
June 10 · J FMy friends and I ordered the octopus ssambap, seafood pancake, and pork backbone soup. The octopus was seriously spicy but so so good. Can’t help but continue to eat it with the wraps. The seafood pancake was soft and had a good proportion of seafood. The pork backbone soup was our least favorite. Didn’t expect it to be so spicy but the perilla seeds didn’t provide a pleasant experience as there were large pieces each time we drink the soup. It made it oily too. The pork meat itself was tender and flavorful though. Overall, we would definitely come back and try the octopus again and the other dishes.
June 07 · Wennie FangI order pork backbone soup for take out! My God! It come out with so many delicious little dishes plus a fish! Even though, I usually don't eat the fish due to bones and fish smell but this fish is delicious! Easy to eat! Not too many bones! No fish smell! Meat is very tender!
September 07 · Jean ChangThe pancake was terrible—sticky and watery, like eating a soaked sock. The pork soup looked like a big portion on the menu, but in reality you only get a tiny piece. The fried octopus was $57 for a portion that couldn’t even satisfy one person, let alone two.
