★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We sat at the Chefs table. A fun way to eat, although the chairs were wobbly and I was afraid I’d fall out.The food- the star of the show was the Fusillata Casareccia Al Pesto Massimo Bottura. The pesto is incredible and we ended up ordering a second bc the table enjoyed the first so much. The rest of the dishes were alright. The skinny half slice of bread wasn’t the best and our olive oil was given to us a few minutes after our bread was given. The service- bad. No one was rude but it was slow and hard to get ahold of anyone. We had to ask about our salad bc our entrees were already given to us. She had told us it was coming. We were almost done with our entrees before it came out. We observed others getting their salad before their entrees. After sitting there for 1.5-2 hours, we asked for our check, and the waitress got distracted and must’ve forgotten. We sat there longer until we could find her again and get it. Really disappointed in the service for pricey pasta. Half the experience in eating out is how you are treated/atmosphere, I would not come here again.
April 13 · Susan McGowanChef's table fun experience. Also pasta served right away.Food good. Plating excellent.Chairs bit high but manageable.Service attentive.
July 26 · Sam HahnWhile walking through Chelsea Market, we came across this Italian restaurant that also offers takeaway dishes. We decided to sit down and order a pasta dish. Prices are quite high, even compared to the New York average, and the portion was not very generous for the cost. On the positive side, the service was professional and friendly, and the atmosphere very pleasant.
August 30 · Monica GabrielliI recently visited for a special occasion, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The pasta was severely undercooked—beyond what anyone would reasonably consider al dente. I understand there can be differences in interpretation, but this wasn’t “firm to the bite”; it was simply hard. We voiced our concern to our server, who until that point had been attentive, but he immediately escalated the issue to the manager, which we hadn’t asked for or wanted. The manager was apologetic but insisted that all their pasta is cooked al dente and that they never receive complaints about it. Frankly, based on other reviews, that’s hard to believe. Overall, the experience was disappointing—especially given the price. It felt like a fine dining bill without the fine dining quality. They did offer us complimentary desserts, which, ironically, ended up being the best part of the meal. One last point: we noticed the server’s reaction to the tip. Normally, I wouldn’t even mention it, but he didn’t wait for us to leave before complaining to every coworker he passed, it was that obvious. You’re entitled to your feelings, of course, but when you’re representing a business, that kind of behavior is just unprofessional. On a positive note, the atmosphere was very pleasant, but not enough to make me want to give it a second try or recommend it to anyone.
June 15 · Ann SuárezIf you’re ever at Chelsea Market and looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience, this spot is an absolute must-visit. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the highlight was definitely meeting the manager, Augusto. He treated us like royalty, ensuring we had everything we needed and more. His hospitality really made the evening special. The food was nothing short of amazing. Each dish was prepared with such care, and you could taste the quality in every bite. Whether you’re a fan of traditional Italian pasta or something more unique, there’s something here for everyone. And if you enjoy a good drink, don’t miss out on the lavender cocktail—it was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had, fresh, floral, and perfectly balanced. I could’ve sipped on it all night! The service was top-notch as well, with waiters who were attentive without being overbearing. They really made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of.I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s an absolute gem. We’ll definitely be back soon!
