---The menu at La Pizza & La Pasta is a testament to the versatility and deliciousness of Italian cuisine, with an emphasis on its two namesake dishes. When it comes to pizza, you have three categories to choose from. For a taste of history, the Pizze Tradizionali are a must-try. The Margherita Verace TSG is a timeless classic and a true representation of Neapolitan tradition. If you're feeling adventurous, the Pizze Gastronomiche section offers a modern twist with lighter, crispier crusts and gourmet toppings. The Burrata pizza, topped with creamy burrata cheese, and the Tartufo, featuring luxurious truffle, are particularly popular choices.
For pasta lovers, the selection is equally impressive, with options for both fresh, housemade pasta and high-quality dried pasta from Gragnano. The Tagliatelle al Ragù di Manzo is a hearty and flavorful dish that embodies Italian comfort food. For something lighter, the Spaghetti al Pomodoro is a simple yet perfect dish that showcases the freshness of the ingredients. The Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe is another standout, with its creamy and peppery sauce that is a Roman classic. Whether you prefer a short or long pasta, each dish is cooked to a perfect al dente texture, ensuring a truly authentic experience.
Beyond the main courses, the appetizers and beverage selections are not to be overlooked. The Prosciutto con Mozzarella is a great way to start, pairing savory cured ham with fresh, housemade mozzarella. The extensive wine list features selections from across Italy's diverse regions, and the knowledgeable staff can help you find the perfect pairing for your meal. Whether you choose a regional red like a Barbera from Piemonte or a crisp white like a Sauvignon Blanc from Friuli, you’ll find a great complement to your food. Finally, don't leave without trying a dessert or a refreshing Italian soda like the Lurisia Aranciata. The entire experience, from the first bite to the last sip, is a celebration of Italian flavors and hospitality, making La Pizza & La Pasta an essential dining destination in NYC.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This was my late sister’s favorite Italian restaurant in New York. We would visit every time I visited her. The house wine selection is fantastic and they always have some special. The sauces are amazingly fresh and tasty.
June 11 · Shubha BalasubramaniamI have been here numerous times and it gets better and better. RIght off the bat, Jay seats me at a nice table and Mahmoud the bus staff came over and welcomed me back! I have no idea how he remembered me but he did. The nice wait servicer asked if anyone took my order and I said not yet so he said he will.. great experience already. During my meal, Mahmoud kept on coming to see if I needed anything and really making sure I was well taken care off. He didnt have too but he took an initiative to do so. I had a great spaghetti pomodoro, caesar salad and bread. Thoughout my meal, Mahmoud kept on making sure I was good like clearing my empty plate and bringing me salt and pepper. He also asked if I needed grated cheese on my spaghetti. WOW! Talk about service.. Throughout my meal, other wait server and other bus staff kept checking in if I needed anything else. My wait server shift was over and he told me his associate will take care of me. Since I was alone, I was observing the restaurant and was really impressed. I see, Carlos, the manager putting new silverware and plates on tables and moving chairs around the restaurant. Carlos is a hand on type of a manager. The best kind in my option. After the email, I thanked Carlos and told him I enjoyed my meal and compliments him on how well his staff was. He absolutely ran a tight ship. Best experience was for sure, Mahmoud the bus staff. He absolutely, hand down, made my experience one of the best at La Pizza La Pasta. Mahmoud should be considered to be a wait staff intead of a bus staff. It is people like him that will keep customers coming to any restaurant. I tip my hat to Mahmoud, Carlos and everyone else! I even went to Eataly in Vegas too.. I feel NY is the flagship store. Thank you Flatiron La Pizza La Pasta! I will be back because of the service I received and meal was absolutely out of this world!
September 07 · Mike MBasic Italian (Roman) classic pizzas and pastas. Usually long waits, even with a reservation we waited 20 minutes to get seated. Having eaten a lot of Italian restaurants in Manhattan and in Italy, this place not really worth it. For the price you could get something better/more authentic. Pasta portion was generous though and the vibes were great. We love Eataly as a grocery store but the food doesn’t quite deliver here. Just okay.
May 18 · H LI have never had a lasagna like this before. The sheets were so so soft and easily cut through while the ragu was meaty and filled with flavor. I could tell this was fresh lasagna. The bolognese was also great and enough for one person. Definitely recommend the focaccia as this is Eately’s specialty for sure! Ambience was very high end, definitely felt more upscale, very nice. Service could have been better, we only saw our server once after we got our food and wished we could have had a bit more attention since I needed a napkin and water refills. But I will say, this is 5th avenue on a Thursday at dinner time so it was pretty busy. In general, Eately is very busy so truly do come here to expect great food with limited attention from staff. Otherwise, we would come back again for that lasagna and to try other dishes!
April 16 · Isabel CastroPeople have strong opinions about the food at eataly. Personally I think it’s pretty good. Does it feel a little touristy? Sure. But if you took each restaurant and put them somewhere else it would likely be viewed positively. When I am at eataly I like to eat at one of the counter only spots because it’s fun and different and I like the market vibe. This spot is the bigger sit down at a table restaurants and usually the most busy. The pastas were good and that’s what I expect at early. Not the best but definitely not bad, and that’s what you get here. Verdict: no because if I happen to be there and want to eat I’ll do the counter pasta place where u watch them make fresh pasta in front of you.
