LavashUzN1 is a testament to the dynamic food culture of New York, where distinct national cuisines like Uzbek food can blend with and be presented as Middle Eastern staples, creating a new local favorite. What makes this spot truly stand out is its commitment to hearty, generously filled meals and its unique signature items.
For first-time visitors or those looking for the most popular options, the Super Hot-Dog is a clear must-try. Although one customer review noted challenges with packaging for delivery—a common issue for generously stuffed items—the core appeal of the dish, which combines multiple fillings in Uzbek bread, is what draws people in. Similarly, the Beef Lavash (Wrap) is a highly recommended choice for a classic, filling shawarma-style experience, packed with juicy grilled beef and fresh ingredients.
Customer feedback highlights that the food is generally considered very delicious and cheap, offering excellent value for money. One reviewer specifically mentioned being hesitant due to comments about excessive sauce but was ultimately delighted, finding the hot dog, chicken/beef lavash, and beef pita to be "very worth it." This suggests that dining in might offer the most controlled and enjoyable experience for the heavily sauced items. The praise for the fries in one review also indicates that even the simplest side dishes are prepared with care and flavor.
The true value proposition of LavashUzN1 is the opportunity to enjoy Uzbek-influenced street food—a delicious change of pace from standard New York fare—in a relaxed setting. If you're near Gravesend and craving a substantial, savory meal that merges familiar wrap concepts with unique Central Asian flavors, LavashUzN1 is a compelling destination. Patrons can look forward to a casual atmosphere, generous portions, and a menu that’s perfect for both a quick stop and a satisfying sit-down meal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I haven’t visited the restaurant in person yet, but I recently ordered delivery through Uber Eats. The food arrived fairly quickly, which was a plus. However, the Super Hot Dog was nearly impossible to eat due to excessive filling and very poor packaging—most of the toppings and sauce ended up in the bag rather than on the food, which made the experience messy and frustrating.I also ordered the chicken doner. Overall, it was a decent dish: the fries were incredibly tasty, but the chicken left a strange aftertaste, as if it wasn’t fully cooked. I didn’t try the salad, and unfortunately, utensils were not included despite being requested in the order. While the food seems to be of good quality, delivery is about more than just taste—it’s also about presentation and how the food arrives. I will update my review after an in-person visit, but for now, I can’t give a higher rating due to several issues with the delivery.
May 31 · Anna ToptalinaWe came as four people, their food was very delicious and cheap. I highly recommend. I was first hesitant to come and dine here because of some of the reviews saying that they put too much sauce but I came anyway and thankfully I did because it is very worth it. We got the hot dog, the chicken/beef lavash, and the beef pita. Overall I think that it was very good and I recommend if you like Uzbek food.
April 26 · Samira BThat’s the best shawarma in Brooklyn!!As an person who tried a lot of shawarmas I must say that lavashuzn1 is my favourite one! Fresh meat, a lot of veggies and sauce!! Ask for cheese so its gets even more juicier!! So tiny and cozy location , workers are always nice👍🏻
June 30 · Dana YakovychVery tasty, but... was waiting 20 min for my order. Only one guy was working.
September 26 · Хто здесь?I just tried one of their desserts here, and it was pretty good. I believe their other food options are supposed to be good too.
