★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I went to try Peruvian cuisine outside the Peruvian enclave in Paterson, New Jersey. I walked in and it was very intense in color, music so it’s ok. But I would like to go to a restaurant and relax not be pounding with the loud music. I want to try a drink so I chose Machupichu it had 3 colors and pisco. It was ok nothing out of ordinary but pricey. The server (Ecuadorian) was very attentive and helpful explaining the drink and the menu. I chose to eat Cabrito with rice and yucas the portion was good, the taste superb but the Cabrito was a bit hard to chew which it shouldn’t be. The staff was very pleasant around 3 male servers came at different times to ask me it everything was ok. It made me feel very welcome and relax since I stayed for a long while. I know that many restaurants don’t offer filter water but they should start doing. I just went to a dinner where the water placed on the table was filter. When I was ready for dessert it was a let down because the taste of the food was superb ( without thinking about the Cabrito tenderness) a chose Crema Volteada that was not fresh or maybe was not done correctly. My waiter that was taken care of me garnish the dessert very nice. The only think I don’t like that the tip was already calculated in my bill. I always think that tip is optional and it should be determined by the service and hospitality of the staff not imposed. The only thing that I think the management should consider is when there is a birthday celebration at any table the music cannot be so loud that even I was wearing earbuds I couldn’t listen to what i was listening. - My mom and I wound up here by accident and found a new culture and food that we now love!! The kitchen was close to closing but the staff were still very hospitable and accommodating! We got the Causa Rellena with shrimp while we waited for our entrees (togo) and holy cow... it was so good!!We both took the bartenders recommendations for protein with our meals and weren't disappointed. I got Tallarines a la Huancaína with some of the most tender and well seasoned skirt steak I've had in a loooong time. The Huancaina yellow pepper sauce was creamy and had great flavor.Mom got the A lo Macho with sea bass, it also had soft shell crab and octopus, with rice and a rich and tasty sauce. We wish we had this food back where we live! We'll definitely be coming back here on future road trips though! July 17 · Rachel Anthony
- Food was greatService was greatThey had love music he kinda sucked but everything else was so good. The green sauce had a small kick to it personally definitely liked it to be spicer. But great taste and perfect cooked. September 20 · Mihir Desai
- I was really excited to try this Peruvian spot and there were definitely some highlights! The service was friendly, the portions were generous, and the seafood soup was absolutely delicious — one of the best I’ve had. Prices are also very fair. That said, I’d love to see some improvements: the music was extremely loud and the reggaeton videos playing on every screen didn’t match the dining vibe (some were inappropriate for a restaurant setting). I also asked for no shrimp in my soup due to a mild allergy, but it still came with shrimp — a potentially dangerous mistake for someone more allergic. Finally, the steak was not the best quality. I hope they create a more relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and upgrade their meat selections, because the food and staff show a lot of promise. June 16 · Carla Acosta
- This place is 4.85/5. We will be regulars here.Parilla Lena Y CarbonSteak was cooked medium rare. Very juicy and tender. Seasoned perfectly. 5/52 beef sticks - a bit spicy for my kids but fine for us. 3rd best, very slightly dry. 4.90/5Pork chops - very juicy, perfectly seasoned. 5/5Chorizo. Was expecting spicy, wasn’t spicy but not perfectly juicy. 4.95/5Rotisserie chicken - the skin was 4.95, could use a bit more seasoning. Chicken itself very tender. 5/5But the salad. Woah, 10/5. Great acid dressing. Taste like eating a ceviche. Absolutely amazing. Would love to eat more of the salad. Outstanding flavor and freshness of the ingredients! This has to be one of the best salad I’ve ever had in my life. Simple ingredients yet amazing flavors. The Goat special - goat is a bit dry but the sauce is what saves it.Wish we didn’t eat a big lunch, we would like to see what the Plato Marino is like. Overall, very impressed with this place. August 31 · Ryan Suh
