Le Grand Comptoir Introduce
For New Yorkers and travelers passing through the bustling hub of John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), finding an airport restaurant that transcends the typical 'fast food' experience is a welcome relief. Le Grand Comptoir offers exactly that—a sophisticated, yet casual, dining establishment that transports guests away from the chaos of the concourse and into a relaxed, bistro-style setting. Positioned as a premier Restaurant and wine bar, it is dedicated to providing high-quality food and an extensive beverage selection, offering a genuine moment of tranquility before a long journey or during a layover.
Le Grand Comptoir provides a full-service Dine-in experience with a menu that hints at classic French bistro fare, elevated to suit the modern palate. It is a favored spot for travelers looking for more than just a quick bite, providing comprehensive options for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Dessert. Patrons can expect a Casual atmosphere paired with a touch of elegance, making it suitable for both solo dining and small groups wishing to unwind. While the airport environment often means higher prices, the quality of the offerings and the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful meal makes it a worthwhile destination within the airport’s confines.
Le Grand Comptoir is situated within the heart of the John F. Kennedy International Airport complex in Queens, NY. While airport locations can sometimes shift or have multiple units, public data strongly places a significant presence in the central terminal area. The provided address, 1 Central Terminal Area, Queens, NY 11430, USA, confirms its positioning within the core of the airport. More specific information, often cited by travelers, places locations within the post-security areas of Terminal 7 (near Gate 6) and Terminal 4 (Retail Hall).
For the local user or traveler, this means the restaurant is accessible primarily to ticketed passengers within the secured gate areas. The restaurant ensures broad physical accessibility, notably featuring a Wheelchair accessible entrance, making it a comfortable destination for all travelers. Its location within the terminal's retail or food court areas also makes it easy to find and reach, serving as a well-placed oasis between shopping and boarding. Given the frequent mention of it being a great place to "sit and wait for your flight," its spot is strategic, allowing patrons to monitor their gate while relaxing.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered glass of wine and salad - paid around 50$. Food was good and service was friendly. You can order by scanning QR code placed at the bar and tables. It's a nice place to sit and wait for your flight.
September 14 · Adam StruzikGood luck finding food at terminal 7.Were stuck there for a few hours, chose between a few 1.5-2 star places, so was prepared for the worst, which actually helped. We ordered chicken salad - crazy overpriced, but tasted ok (given the lack of options). Drinks are expensive too.Got a friendly waiter, but other ones looked kinda annoyed at any questions (we were looking for the electric plug).Overall, I'd give it a 2.5 star rating, rounding up to 3 because of staff and short wait time (compared to what it says in other reviews).
May 12 · Mila GI paid $70 for two sandwiches, which arrived 45 minutes late. Then, when they brought them to me, they spilled my drink on me. The waiter, named Carlos, started being rude. We had to complain about the spilled drink. A bad experience.
April 12 · Marcos RíosBelieve the reviews—this place is awful. The service started out fine but went downhill fast. I ordered two glasses of wine and a sandwich through their app, only to be charged three separate times. When I tried to bring it up, the server brushed me off and disappeared.I get that having one server for the entire restaurant is unreasonable, but everything here is just bad—the quality, the prices, and especially the service. My wine came in a dirty glass, and when I asked for a clean one, the server dumped it out, snapped at me, and told me to sit down while she served others.Do yourself a favor and skip this place. It’s gross, overpriced, and now I’m stuck disputing three charges with my bank.
August 31 · Cate IrvinYou are not going to be able to get anything cheaper than voodoo ranger. Drink it. Forget how much you are going to be completely and utterly screwed over as you have no other choice. Don’t order food - it’s too late. You are poor now. Get a mortgage - you will need itOh and mandatory: “like my post”
