• The taste is on the good side but the price is not cheap for what you get. I don't like the narrow dining experience. The tea was not good, bring your own tea if that's important to you. The worker has an attitude but not against me. I didn't need Any service out of the ordinary like refill of tea. We tip over 20% because other reviewers say they will chase you. In fact it happened right in front of me fighting with customers about tips and using profanity making the experience bad. Is it common for northerners to behave this way? It makes us uncomfortable for sure. Likely will not return.

• I love this place!! It’s a hole in the wall but the food is soooo good. I really like the cumin beef and fried tofu in garlic sauce. Food comes out quick!

• The experience at this restaurant was unpleasant. The server made a mistake with my order and displayed a rather arrogant attitude and was unwilling to admit to his own mistake. Although the order was eventually corrected, the interaction was frustrating. Additionally, during payment, the waiter openly counted the cash in front of us, giving the impression that the amount given was insufficient. The behavior of this server made me and my friend's dining experience at this restaurant very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

• Watching ravenous Chinese people descend upon a freshly made batch of lobster has got to the be pinnacle of comedy. I witnessed lots of hurt feelings. That, my friends, is the essence of buffet style dining at East Buffet in Flushing. When you ascend the stairs of East Buffet, you will encounter two choices, to the right, a dim sum palace and to the left, a Chinese serve yourself buffet. I've had both and you can't go wrong with either.First the dim sum. What can I say about this place? All the dim sum you would expect from Chinatown is here and done to standards at reasonable prices per dish.Second, the buffet, the lobster I had mentioned earlier comes in batches few and far between. I have always thought that east does it fair share in offering a decent selection of seafood, which includes Japanese sushi and shellfish. Since I'm a huge seafood fan, they did not disappoint. As with all buffets, be wary of selections with lots of starch and breading which will fill you up in a hurry. The only negative I can think about at East is their slim selection of sweets or desserts.Now for the pricing, the dim sum is sold by the dish and you pay for as much as you eat. The buffet however is usually discounted. The last time I went, i think I paid $17 for the dinner buffet and $12 for the lunch. Both were bargains! Gorge and enjoy!

• 5 stars for the food, 4 stars for the service and environment. As food quality weights more for me when rating a restaurant, I give it 4 stars overall.Recommended by Mike Chen on YouTube. It serves traditional northern Chinese cuisine. I would give the food 4 stars cuz it's real Chinese food and tastes good, but don't have a high expectation on the environment and service.Fried Pork in Scoop: it's a traditional northeast Chinese dish, and they cook it well here. The pork is fried very crispy.
