★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Another jewels of the “in” scene of Brooklyn: Llama Inn, a Peruvian restaurant with cool ambiente, friendly and knowledgeable staff and spectacular dishes. Chicken Anticucho, Trout tartage, Ceviche caretillero, tuna ceviche, ½ chicken, and Lomo saltado all were outstanding with beautiful presentation, super tenderness, and colorful flavors.(Originally posted by me on yelp)
August 26 · Andreas KaiserLove the plants and decor inside and outside. Pretty crowded on a Friday night but we were able to get a 8pm reservation on pretty short notice (a few days before).Server was a bit soft spoken but she was nice and attentive. Food was good especially the pork anticucho and chicken entre. Wouldn't go out of my way but we had a concert nearby so worked out.
August 21 · Herman Singh Pahwa(Disclaimer: The love in this food literally made me cry)So, if I could give Llama Inn a 10 star rating, I would. My experience here, is absolutely unforgettable. One of my mottos that I live by as a food vlogger, is that I'm always lookin' for the love in the food, and at Llama Inn, I found love in the food, the service, the decor, etc.I went here for the second time this past summer (2020). I already knew from my first visit that this was true, authentic Peruvian Food, but they somehow, on this second visit, blew my mind even further. I made a reservation for just me. They sat me on their beautiful rooftop. The vibes are laid back, chill, bohemian, even. The server/bartender asked me what I wanted to drink and I asked if he could make me a Peruvian-inspired drink. He recommended the pisco sour, and girl, am I happy that he did. This limey, fluffy egg whites-topped drink was most refreshing and more importantly, tasty! The angostura bitters were sprinkled in the egg whites and it truly just added to the experience. For my first course, I had the scallop and the pork belly. I must say, the scallop was nothing less than perfect. Cooked beautifully with that creamy aji amarillo tarter sauce and salty, crispy capers that just made the entire bite a happy family. The pork belly was grilled for the kids, you hear me?! You tasted the perfect grill char. The rich fat of that pork belly made me feel like I had more money than I actually do! Perfect size starters. Not too big, not too small, but juuust right .For the entree, I ordered the scallop aguadito (I know, more scallops, but SO worth it!) the scallops were served with the most warm, comforting romesco sauce on top of them, which really just warmed my heart! Also served with Swiss chard, rice, beans, and what seemed to be a salsa verde kinda sauce. Omg, this dish was prepared so wonderfully. Someone in the kitchen took their time to make this. Their first ingredient was love. I tasted it!For dessert, I had the lime pie, served on a graham cracker crust, covered in the most beautiful burnt meringue! This pie was to DIE for!!!! The most simple, yet, most well done crust. The lime pie itself was scrumptious! The perfect amount of tart from the lime, combined with the right amount of sweetness.Do yourself a favor and go to Llama Inn! A) You'll be supporting indie restaurants (and be sure to tip 20% or more) and B) You'll have a true food EXPERIENCE! Take my word for it! You will not regret going to this restaurant! It is one of my favorites in NYC!
June 23 · Kevin Cravensoooo cute and the ceviche and the drinks were 10/10 but the lomo left something to be desired - why so many fries? if we went back i’d want to try more of the small plates for sure, very vibey inside loved the interior
May 07 · Lauren RoperRestive Peruvian cuisine served up in an airy and modern atmosphere within Williamsburg. The service is just as good as everyone says!We came in around 5:45 on a Friday night and were able to snag seats at the bar. The lead bartender was incredibly friendly and helpful giving us his thoughts on our order and suggestions. We were super pleased with our order and ended up adding dessert even though we were full! Highly recommend!
