It's a place that embraces its modest decor and straightforward approach, providing a comfortable and unpretentious setting that is becoming increasingly rare in New York City. These simple amenities provide a casual form of entertainment that encourages interaction and a relaxed group setting. It's a place that fosters genuine connection without the need for high-end distractions.
While Lucy's doesn't have a food menu, its focus on being an excellent bar is what makes it so special. It offers a solid selection of alcoholic beverages, including beer, cocktails, hard liquor, and wine. For beer lovers, the availability of Guinness is a noteworthy feature. The simple and stiff drinks are exactly what one would expect from a classic dive. The bar's strength lies in its ability to be exactly what it promises: a place where you can get a good, reasonably priced drink in a comfortable and friendly environment. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Lucy's is no frills & that's just the way we like it. Service from behind the bar is fast & friendly (they do offer Guinness). There is a pool table at the back. Most patrons stand & chat. Everyone we encountered was friendly & approachable. Prices are gentle. Decor is modest. What more do you need on a Sunday night around 11:00 PM ?

April 26 · Daniel PinoLovely dive bar atmosphere. Working jukebox with great song selection. Went during the re-opening week and they had great well drink prices, I don’t know if that’s permanent but it definitely made me stay much longer than I anticipated. Bartender was very accommodating and the bouncer Wilson was super kind. Can’t wait to return.
April 11 · Reilly EvansWent there last night and the older woman with curly brown hair was working. She straight up said “what do YOU want” mind you, I just came in and this was the first drink I ordered. After she made my drink I handed her cash and she quite literally threw my change on the counter. I truly can only come to the conclusion that she is clearly racist and did not want to serve me. If I weren’t celebrating a friend I’d make a scene in the moment cause girl, the attitude was so unnecessary and out of the blue. Maybe if you have a hard time serving BLACK PEOPLE, you shouldn’t be bartending in NYC
June 20 · KayI love Lucy’s over the years but hot dog tonight was rough. Not only was the bartender visibly drunk when I told her the order she kept pouring the wrong drinks. After the third time she exclaimed “why does it even matter?” Prettty rough. First time in three years I refused to tip.
