Malibu Reviews
It had been a while since I last visited, but since I was in the area with my wife, we decided to stop by during Happy Hour. Overall, the service was great—everyone had a positive attitude, and the young man who made our drinks was awesome and very attentive.Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite hit the mark this time. The calamari tacos were a major letdown. They lacked flavor, were overly gummy, and had no crispiness or seasoning—we couldn’t even finish them. The Ropa Vieja Arepa had good flavor, but where was the actual arepa? The dish was mostly meat with just a tiny, bite-sized piece of arepa. I understand it’s an appetizer, but the arepa portion should definitely be a bit larger. On a brighter note, the Mexican Shrimp Ceviche was delicious—I really enjoyed that.As for the drinks, they were tasty but incredibly light on alcohol. My wife and I joked that they might’ve been virgin drinks. She’s a total lightweight, so if she couldn’t feel it, I knew I wasn’t imagining things! In the end, we paid the tab and decided to head elsewhere. Great vibes and service, but the food and drinks missed the mark this time.
July 04 · Miguel MassoHighest quality food in a warm environment with true “City” feelings. Can be busy on Friday and Saturday nights but we love going either for happy hour or after 7:30 for an amazing “late bite”. Had this amazing cheesecake for desert last night!
August 29 · Peter GoldbergDelicious food. Great atmosphere and kind waitresses. We went after an afternoon at the beach and we had our 2 golden retrievers. They quickly sat us outside and brought water for our dogs. Our waitress was kind and friendly. We will be back soon.

May 10 · Mario DeCarloI came here with some of my family to celebrate my nephews win at his soccer game! They had cute outdoor seating we originally sat outside but it was too hot luckily they had some space inside for 7 of us. Juan was our waiter and he was very friendly, he checked up on us frequently, he was very helpful and attentive. Inside the restaurant is so cute! I love the vibe! Now, on to the food we had ordered a variety of things on the list of things ordered to the table- ahi tuna, steak, two Nashville chicken tacos. Yuca fries which were loved by the whole table although I would wish they would give a bigger portion they were great! Birria tacos, arroz con pollo, shrimp Al mojo, chicken quesadilla. Overall the dishes were great! My sister and law got some drinks and we both tried the la pinta and my nephew got the adios padre mocktail. I would recommend to give it a try! We will definitely be back!
