★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is tremendous. Innovative food, unique and exquisite tastes and debatably the best cocktail menu I’ve ever seen. As close to a 10/10 as a place gets for me
July 24 · Kevin DonlinWe discovered Haymarket while searching for “new restaurants in new york city”, and we are very glad we did. They had only been open a month when we went. Our food was excellent, and the service provided by every member of their team was even better. We loved that the chef/owner was visible checking on the crowd from the hallway to the kitchen. The bar manager stopped by our table and spoke with us- he seems to love his job. Our waiter had worked with the chef years ago and has moved to the city to be part of Haymarket and work with her again. There was a palpable excitement in the air. The food is great, the drinks are great, and the service is over the top. You should go!
August 05 · Dan SeranyThis has to be hands down one of my all time favorite dining experiences. First of all, the inside of this place is stunning. It’s so purposeful and tasteful. Such a small (and maybe silly thing) but the detail really got me. The silverware is ornate and beautifully matches the vibe, the glassware was sleek and refined, the napkins were this beautiful ochre color that perfectly matched. Chefs kiss. The drink menu was so unique and the wine we had, picked out by the sommelier was probably one of the best reds I’ve had. The food? I will go back just to eat the duck frites with caviar. It’s scratches the right part of your brain because it’s big sour cream and onion vibes and yet you’re eating something so refined. My favorite main was the oxtail. Oxtail is hard to do well, in fact I’ve never liked it outside of a home cooked meal. Divine. Absolutely divine. Dessert was the absolute cherry on top. Get the Swiss roll thing and thank me later. I can’t wait to go back! Shoutout to all the staff there tonight. You were all so lovely to us.
August 15 · Ashley DuvallGreat experience at Haymarket! This location needed a cool vibey spot to enjoy drinks and a nice meal after work. The ambiance and decor is great. Standout dishes include the cod fritters, grilled prawn, and heirloom tomato with pine nuts and grilled peach. The cocktails were particularly unique and tasty (I had the snake in the grass), and the mocha creme caramel was delicious! The service was super friendly, informed, and attentive!
July 30 · Michelle SkornickiHad a girls night out and sat at the bar. The food, service and cocktails were all amazing. The prawn, salt cod fritters, tuna crudo and I have a martini kink cocktail were the standouts. 10/10 and much needed in the neighborhood.
