Small little pizza spot on Francis Lewis. Honestly, their display can use some sprucing. Each time I go there the display case is mostly empty. So I choose a plain slice and the taste varies. Some days are ok, some days are really good. On my recent visit I had a grandma and a plain that came right out of the oven and it tasted great. So maybe the pizza sits there a little too long. Fresh is best

Our server was very courteous and we almost felt like we had booked the whole restaurant for ourselves. He made recommendations and food was brought quickly. The portions are huge, food fresh and delicious and price reasonable. We had a ton of leftovers which we used for lunch the next day. We enjoyed our meal here.

Excellent one of a kind Grandma pie. The classic NY pie and Sicilian have their own advantages over local competition. But its their grandma with distinct basil taste I always seem to go back to.Atmosphere: your house pickup or delivery the whole pie. No apps for takeout they all steal 20% of every order just call them up they have in house delivery men.I alternate Matese with some of the other local institutions. If I could only choose one, forever this might be it.I have yet to get a Chicken Parm platter and compare with the others.

The manager of this place is extremely rude and he’s very unfriendly me and my family we were very hungry when we heard this place was a good place to eat. It was right across the street from a beautiful school but boy we were wrong. This place is a nightmare. I ordered a pie a regular Sicilian slice Zeppoli’s and a chicken Parm hero let’s start off with the regular pie. It was an old pie that is has been sitting. On the counter for probably over two hours the Sicilian slice was completely Zeppoli’s had not 1 ounce of sugar couldn’t the spare the sugar for the zeppoles guess not the chicken cutlet Parm hero they took the chicken cutlet, and they smashed it, cut it all up in different pieces and they took the pieces and they shoved into the sandwich. They took a big chunk of sauce and basically smeared allOver cutlet just a mess when I called the manager to explain to me what happened to my order he give me a whole bunch of excuses and then he blames it on Uber. He says because I didn’t order from His store directly and because I order from Uber it’s their fault, but how he cooks his food. The manager at this place does not like Uber at all and any orders are placed on Uber. The food is going to come back horrible instead he wants you to order directly from him if you have delivery from him you got to stand with the delivery guy swipe your card to a credit card machine and a whole big hassle this will be the last time I order from them and I recommend everybody reading this post does the same not a good place thank you

Always ordered their pizza. We got groupon and decided to give their entrees a try. The Mariana sauce that came with the chicken fingers was delicious. Baked salmon was a bit salty but the pasta was great and their fried seafood was also great, very fulfilling. Definitely will go back. No parking.
