What is Worth Choosing: Menu Highlights for New York Foodies
For those new to Meat The Greek or long-time New Yorkers looking for the most authentic and satisfying choices, the menu is filled with exceptional options that truly represent the spirit of Greek comfort food. The sheer variety ensures that there is something for everyone, from meat lovers to vegetarians, and those seeking gluten-free options (which they note are available for most gyros and proteins upon inquiry).
Start with the undisputed classics. Any of the Pita Sandwiches is a fantastic choice for a quintessential Greek experience. The Hand Stacked Chicken Gyro and the Lamb/ Beef Pita Sandwich are local favorites, priced affordably at $11.50 and traditionally wrapped with tzatziki, fresh vegetables, and a few fries right inside the pita, authentic to the street food style in Greece. If you're looking for a larger, more complete meal, upgrading to a Platter for $18.50 (which includes a choice of side and salad) is highly recommended. The Chicken Souvlaki Platter is frequently cited by regulars for its flavorful, perfectly cooked chicken.
For a lighter, yet equally flavorful option, explore the Bowls section. The Greek Bowl option is great for those avoiding bread, letting you pick your base (Rice, Greens, or Red Quinoa) and any of the quality proteins like Pork Gyro or Chicken Souvlaki ($16.00 - $17.00). This offers a fresh, balanced, and customizable meal.
Don't overlook the specialized items that showcase the restaurant’s versatility. The Meat The Greek Burger ($19.00) is a must-try for the adventurous eater—an 8 oz blend of chuck, rib, and brisket topped with cooked onions, pork gyro, fries, and tzatziki sauce. For vegetarians, the Falafel Pita Sandwich ($10.50) or Falafel Bowl ($15.00) provides a delicious meat-free alternative.
Finally, no Greek meal is complete without the proper sides and a sweet finish. Pair your main course with the beloved Lemon Potatoes ($7.50) or the craveable Greek Fries ($9.00). To end your meal on a high note, you cannot go wrong with the flakey, honey-sweet Baklava ($6.00) or a cup of their house-made Avgolemono (traditional chicken egg-lemon soup, $7.50) on a colder day. Meat The Greek successfully brings the richness, warmth, and fresh taste of Greek tradition right to the heart of Eastchester, NY.

May 23 · John GalluzziStopped by Meat the Greek and it did not disappoint. The gyros are legit — packed with flavor, juicy, and wrapped up just right. And the burgers? Honestly just as good, which says a lot because usually a place nails one or the other. Here, they crush both.
September 12 · tjmani05**Raw Chicken in My GyroI recently tried a gyro from Meat the Greek and unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The chicken was completely raw in the center, which not only ruined the meal but also raised serious concerns about food safety. It’s unacceptable to serve raw chicken, as it poses serious health risks. Not sure how you can look at raw CHICKEN and still place it in a gyro. Ended up in Urgent Care pending results for any bacterial infection.I hope they take food safety more seriously in the future, as this is a major issue.
February 11 · Naomi GIt is our second time trying this and the beef/lamb gyro seems better than the chicken gyro (which we got last time), in my opinion. The bowls were great because you get to build your base, protein, vegetables, and dressings. Additionally, the burger patty was thick and cooked just right. It is a bit pricey but the food was tasty. 😊
April 12 · PaulinaGot scammed on an Uber order. They claimed they delivered it to the school where my son is, but my son never received it. When I called Uber I was told that the restaurant delivered it personally so they would not refund me. Either the restaurant delivered it to the wrong building or they have an interesting new business model "delivering" it themselves. Check out the screenshot I attached. Supposed to arrive @ 1145 am but as of 12:54 pm, nada...At the very least, they should've tried to make it right...but now I'm out 30 bucks and my son had to skip lunch today. Bummer.
