Mochinut Lodi Introduce
Welcome to the sweet side of Bergen County. For New Jersey residents searching for a dessert experience that steps far beyond the traditional pastry shop, look no further than Mochinut Lodi. This establishment has quickly become a local favorite by offering a delightful trifecta of popular East Asian treats: the unique texture of Mochi Donuts, the satisfying crunch of Korean Rice Hot Dogs, and an expansive menu of Boba Milk Teas. Mochinut successfully fuses innovative flavors with a casual, welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for an afternoon treat, a quick evening dessert run, or a celebratory snack. It represents a new, exciting chapter in the local dining scene, appealing to those with a sweet tooth and a sense of culinary adventure.
The core of Mochinut’s appeal lies in its signature Mochi Donuts, which are distinctly different from the yeast or cake donuts commonly found throughout the Garden State. Crafted from glutinous rice flour, these donuts possess a famously airy, chewy texture—often described as pleasantly bouncy or elastic—which is then formed into a beautiful, shareable ring of eight connected spheres. The combination of traditional American dessert aesthetics with Japanese mochi texture and Korean street food savory options makes Mochinut Lodi a truly global destination right here in New Jersey.

For the New Jersey local making their first trip to Mochinut Lodi, the ultimate recommendation is to experience the fusion of flavors and textures that defines the shop. The combination of Mochi Donuts and Korean Rice Hot Dogs offers an appealing sweet and savory balance that is hard to find elsewhere.
One of the most worthwhile choices is the Half & Half Korean Rice Hot Dog. This option allows you to sample both the savory beef hotdog and the satisfying, stretchy mozzarella cheese in one item. Pair this with one of the crunchy exterior coatings, such as the Potato or Crispy Ramen, for an ultimate textural experience. Don't forget to customize it with a choice of sauces, which can include ketchup, sweet chili, honey mustard, and spicy mayo.
For dessert, while the menu changes, popular and reliable choices are those that feature well-loved Asian flavors, such as the Ube or Matcha Mochi Donuts. A reviewer’s highlight of the Fruity Pebbles donut also points to the success of their playful, cereal-topped varieties. The donuts are often noted to be slightly more "oily" than expected, which contributes to their rich flavor and moist consistency.
Finally, to complete the trio, a Boba Milk Tea is a necessary complement. The unique packaging mentioned by a patron adds a fun element to your drink, and flavors like the classic Milk Tea, Thai Tea, or the visually appealing Ube Bubble Tea are perfect, refreshing choices to balance the richness of the donut and hot dog. Customers appreciate the option to snag a great deal, such as the occasional BOGO promotion, so keeping an eye out for specials can enhance the value of your visit. Mochinut Lodi truly offers a unique, must-try food destination that local foodies will want to frequent for their consistently rotating and high-quality offerings.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Rice donuts! Who would of known they would be so delicious. My favorite is the one with fruity pebbles. They are a bit more oil than I expected. Definitely amazing donuts. I also got a bubble tea to go. Donuts are not my everyday go to thing, but I highly recommend at least trying it once.
August 09 · Jennifer PickettDropped by on their opening weekend on a Sunday at around 3 pm to take advantage of the BOGO bubble tea deal. We had a green tea and a Thai iced tea, and both were good. I like the unique can packaging that they serve the bubble tea in. We weren’t in the mood for any donuts or corn dogs (we’ve tried both at the Paramus location) but it seemed like this location didn’t have as many donut flavors. Maybe because it was just opening weekend? Either way, since this location is closer, I’d still come back for more bubble tea and perhaps a corn dog next time.
February 18 · Melanie TamSo I went in today seeing that they had a grand opening. Wasn’t crazy busy which was good. They ran out of tapioca and alot of the donut flavors when I went so I was stuck with drinks without the chewy balls everyone knows and loves. I might go back, I might not. The donuts I got were delicious though and the drinks were ok but that’s probably because of the missing boba.
January 08 · MyOpinionMattersokay first of all i absolutely love this place, everything is delicious and the donuts are AMAZING. but i honestly just wanted to leave a review for the woman working behind the counter, this is now my second time here and she is just one of the most friendly people. it literally has brightened my day both times i’ve been here to talk to her. i will continuously come to this location not only for the donuts but for her kind and friendly energy.(i got coconut, green tea, and taro. my faves!)
May 20 · Julie EynardMediocre quality, cleanliness, service. I thought the Ube bubble tea was below par- I also saw how he dumped whole milk from a gallon and served it so it became unappetizing. I prefer KungFu better & the shaken final product. Also realized they served it in a regular cheap cup vs the image they sell you. Definitely not worth more than $2.50 for this drink. The mochi donuts are overpriced for the quality. Tastes A LOT like a zeppoli from the pizzeria in Brooklyn, except they dip it in a glaze instead of powdered sugar.
