★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Moriya is one of ten food stalls that is located in Japan Village Food Hall. They specialize in Japanese rice bowls such as beef don, curry rice, katsu don, and ebi don. All of their meals are made fresh and full of flavors!I tried their Washugyu Curry since I already tried the Sunrise Mart's Plain Curry and Katsu Curry. The Washugyu Curry was delicious! The rice was nice and plump and the Washugyu beef was tender. The beef was still stuck together when I got my order, but it was easy to peel them apart. The Oyako Don was another order I tried. I had to wait for this don since the chicken and egg takes time to cook. However, the wait was worth it! The egg was creamy and rich, perfectly accentuating the chicken, which was plump and juicy!
September 28 · Stephen KOrdered the seafood, egg, and broth rice bowl. It took a little longer than the other bowls to prepare but it was totally worth it!! One of the best bites I’ve ever had and it was a very good portion size for the price. Do not sleep on the seafood and egg bowl!!!
July 25 · Alexis CuevasI really wanted to like this place but unfortunately the gyudon with washugyu beef that I ordered was borderline inedible due to the ridiculous amount of fat (see photos) that they left on the meat. It was like 80% fat tendrils, it was so disgusting. My wifes chicken katsu curry was good though.
October 21 · Campbell CrossI visited this food stall inside Japan Village and ordered a meat dish. Since the menu photo made it look like a generous portion, I declined the rice, thinking I wouldn’t need it. They were preparing the order right in front of me, and as I saw the actual portion being plated, I realized it was much smaller than expected definitely not enough for an adult meal.So I asked to add the rice back - after all, it was originally part of the paid meal. But the owner refused unless I paid extra. Refusing and demanding additional payment over something already included, especially when the customer was trying to correct a misunderstanding in good faith, shows poor customer service.
May 10 · AWorse katsu chicken I’ve had. The chicken is so rough and the breaded part falls off the chicken and not crispy as it should be. The food also ready within 3 mins. Pre-made Katsu that’s been sitting there for awhile. Do yourself a favor and skip this spot.
