RiverMarket Cafe Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For local residents and visitors to the charming Tarrytown waterfront in New York, the RiverMarket Cafe offers a convenient and accessible spot for your daily Coffee shop needs. Located adjacent to its renowned affiliate, the RiverMarket Bar & Kitchen, the Cafe serves as a practical, high-traffic counter-service location designed for speed and convenience. It is situated within the lively Hudson Harbor complex, providing a Casual, Cozy, and Trendy atmosphere that caters perfectly to busy commuters, waterfront strollers, and those looking for a quick and satisfying meal. The Cafe is particularly Popular for Lunch and Solo dining, offering a fast-paced environment where you can grab a bite and a drink without a long wait.
While the Cafe is structurally positioned as a coffee-centric establishment, it significantly expands its offerings to function as a full-service quick-stop. Its affiliation with the high-end, farm-to-table restaurant next door suggests an underlying commitment to quality ingredients, often sourcing from local producers in the Hudson Valley for its market-style offerings. This makes it a multi-faceted destination where one can easily get a Quick bite, a grab-and-go item, or even a sophisticated drink, as the menu features Alcohol, Beer, Cocktails, and Wine, in addition to their core Coffee selection.
It is important for local users to note the mixed feedback on the coffee preparations and some pre-made food items. While the Cafe is known for Fast service, the quality of the coffee, which is noted by some patrons to come from a push-button or automated machine rather than a traditional barista setup, may not meet the expectations of craft coffee purists. Similarly, reviews caution against some pre-made sandwiches, suggesting patrons inquire about the freshness or focus on items made to order or products from the adjoining gourmet market section for the best experience.
Location and Accessibility
The RiverMarket Cafe is conveniently situated at 125 W Main St, Tarrytown, NY 10591, USA. What is worth choosing
For New York users in the Tarrytown area, RiverMarket Cafe is worth choosing primarily for its unparalleled convenience and location, rather than a specialized coffee experience. If your goal is to find a Quick bite for Lunch, a Small plate of high-quality food, or a sophisticated Dessert with an accompanying Wine or Cocktail near the Tarrytown waterfront, this is a highly functional choice.
Its major strengths are the Fast service, the option for Curbside pickup, and its unique ability to serve a full range of Alcohol alongside its cafe items. This makes it an ideal spot for a commuter grabbing a Ham & Cheese Croissant ($6.00) and a coffee before catching a train, or for a local who wants a Quick bite and a glass of Beer while enjoying the Hudson Harbor atmosphere. Given the feedback on the coffee quality and pre-made items, the best user strategy is to utilize the Cafe for its convenience, its lunch and Small plates menu, and its Bar onsite features, while focusing on freshly prepared items or the baked goods and gourmet options often featured from the larger restaurant's kitchen.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1DO NOT buy the pre-made sandwiches!!! They are the worst kind of fake shiddy cold cuts. The turkey is thick, pale, slimy, veiny, and smells like formaldehyde. They should be ashamed for even selling something like that, especially since they're affiliated with a restaurant. Also the coffee comes from a push button machine like your office might have, but it costs like there's a barista, so it's not really worth the $$. Get your coffee at one of the many great coffee shops in town before making your way down to the waterfront.
May 28 · Sean MassotThe latte here comes out of a machine, and it is terrible. Foamed milk went flat immediately. No option for oat milk latte. A fancy place like Rivermarket restaurant next door should be ashamed to put their name on this cafe.
September 15 · Joshua PearsonDelicious frozen yogurt ice cream 🍦 and coffee.Customer service top notch. Luisa was amazing . 5 stars
June 01 · Luis Echevarría PérezRecently found out there was a cafe with ice cream here. It is owned by the restaurant I believe, but they serve Jane’s Ice Cream and have desserts as well. Their coffee was good. I got a double macchiato and the flavor was nice. The machine is automatic, but it was good and I would come back for coffee when I am in Tarrytown at the park or walking. Grateful that there is coffee near the park. I don’t think you can sit inside but it’s nice.
