★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is hands-down the best falafel joint in the neighborhood. Though more expensive than it’s competitor, just a few blocks away on Columbus, the falafel sandwich at Moshe’s is so tasty and hearty, packed with a range of ingredients (including a few french fries) as well as the starring role of the freshly made deliciously moist falafel balls. And after going there multiple times I can safely say it’s consistently good. Sometimes you just have to pay more to get high quality and in this case it’s worth it.
June 08 · Danny KThis location opened a week ago and I'm glad I found it when I searched for vegan food nearby. Delicious food + excellent staff/customer service. I ordered the Hummus plate with falafel and eggplant and pita. It was so delicious!! I need to tell everyone about this place. The falafel is fresh and plated right before serving so it doesn’t get soggy. I didn't want french fries so they substituted cucumbers for me. Lots of fresh veggies available here. And the gentleman at the counter gave me a few sauces to try, the red (hot) sauce and green sauce. I love the green sauce!! It's a parsley base with tons of flavor. I work at the Beacon often and will definitely order from here again. My belly is happy 😃
October 01 · Andrea MahonSO DELICIOUS! Truly fantastic and welcome new middle eastern spot on west 83rd. The falafel is great but to me the cauliflower was the stand out “main” option. For just a few dollars more than a falafel sandwich around the corner at Mahmoud’s you get a HUGE bowl of fresh ingredients plus one main (falafel, spiced and lightly fried cauliflower, or breaded eggplant). I went for just about every item they offered (cabbage, pickles carrots, beets, hummus, olives, pickles, quinoa, chickpeas, lettuce, onions, stewed eggplant, hot peppers, hot sauce) and each one was great and together: scrumptious. It was also enough food for two meals, easily. If you’re vegan and want a fast, healthy, and tasty meal this is your spot!
September 18 · Damien BassmanI had an owner on Uber eats I ordered last week and they forgot to give me sauce so I called in and somebody picked up. They were very nice. They wanted me to enjoy my food as it was supposed to be enjoyed and they even offered to deliver me the tahini and all the sauces on the side like they were supposed to, which was really nice because who usually wants to deliver sauce that was really cool of them and I’m very grateful five stars that’s all I wanna Say oh and the falafel is the best in New York City
September 19 · juno lovyouHomey and friendly neighborhood eatery wooden decor as well as great service! Got a falafel platter and the portions were very generous and the falafel was just as I dreamed falafels to be: crisp exterior and crumbly but softly moist interior. Those and the hummus— absolutely top tier. The pita was so pillowy too.Only thing I would suggest is some light /mild dressing for the cucumber tomato onion salad because it tasted so raw (perhaps some kind of vinaigrette?)
