Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic spices and richness. It’s no surprise the place was completely packed!Despite the crowd, the service was impressively fast and friendly. May 31 · Ruth RetizWe’re not very familiar with Indian cuisine, but we had a wonderful experience here! A very kind gentleman guided us and recommended that we share a variety of dishes, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The flavors were rich and authentic, and we loved getting to try different things. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone—whether you’re a fan of Indian food or trying it for the first time!
July 25 · Clint ParkerFantastic from hello to goodbye! An oasis in tourist central, we stopped in here after meeting friends at the memorial. Food was delicious and the service was even better. Was seated right away, received drinks and Naan, and was relaxed within minutes. Very authentic Indian meals, contrary to what some other reviewers stated. Very fresh as well! Stop by here when in the area and you will not be disappointed!
March 18 · Travel EatMy wife kid and I just had the lunch in this restaurant. The food is pretty disgusting and chicken was atleast 3 days old. The dal makhani was spicy and had nothing close to a daal makhani you would think. Now me and wife both feel pretty sick. My kid kept waiting for the only thing (fries) she could eat here. They had no sensitivity and courtesy to respect that a kid is without food while parents are somehow try to push the inedible food down their throat. I asked like 4 times until we eventually left and changed the fries to go. I never had such a bad experience in a dine in place in NYC. Please come at your own risk as this place is really bad. It’s not just an opinion it’s what me and my family were subjected to.As you can see I don’t bother even paying a single $ in tip which is against my rule to pay a minimum of 15% for a service. Neither the food nor the service is worth your time in this place.
June 01 · Amit SaxenaExtremely Disappointed with the Customer ServiceI recently visited Mughlai Indian Cuisine with a group of seven people, and I have to say it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. Right from the beginning, the staff seemed more focused on how much money we were going to spend rather than making us feel welcome. We were told multiple times that we "needed to order more" simply because we were a larger group — which felt very disrespectful and unprofessional. Instead of prioritizing hospitality and ensuring a pleasant dining experience, it felt like we were being pressured to spend more just to justify our presence.Customer service should be about making guests feel comfortable, regardless of group size or order amount. Unfortunately, that basic courtesy was completely missing here. We were made to feel like a burden rather than valued customers.Restaurants should focus on treating every guest with respect — whether they’re a party of two or ten. I hope the management seriously considers improving their attitude toward customers, because no one deserves to be treated this way. Definitely not going back.
