MYSTTIK Masaala Introduce
Finding a satisfying and flavorful meal in the heart of Midtown Manhattan can sometimes be a challenge, especially when you're looking for something quick and a little different. MYSTTIK Masaala, located at 152 W 52nd Street, aims to offer a taste of classic Indian cuisine in a fast-casual format. It’s a spot that caters to the busy pace of New York, providing a range of familiar and popular Indian dishes designed for a quick bite or a convenient takeout meal. The restaurant's menu features a variety of options, from classic curry bowls to their signature naan wraps, providing a solution for those seeking a quick and flavorful lunch or dinner in the area.
The concept of a fast-casual Indian restaurant is appealing to many New Yorkers who need a convenient meal without the commitment of a full sit-down dining experience. MYSTTIK Masaala's location is strategically placed to serve the surrounding office buildings and hotels, making it a natural choice for workers on their lunch break or tourists looking for a quick and different kind of meal. The menu includes staples like Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo, as well as vegetarian options, providing a range of choices for various dietary preferences. The ability to grab a quick, hot meal from this spot is its primary draw.
However, as with any dining experience, it's important to set expectations. While the convenience and speed are undeniable benefits, some customer reviews indicate that the flavor profiles and ingredients might not always meet the expectations of traditional, authentic Indian cuisine. For instance, a reviewer noted that the chicken curry contained an unusually high amount of cabbage and large potatoes, and lacked the robust flavor expected from such a dish. Another customer commented on the lack of flavor in the chicken vindaloo and the dry texture of the chicken pieces. These comments suggest that while the food is available and fast, it may not be the ideal choice for those seeking a rich, complex, and authentic Indian culinary experience.
Despite these points, MYSTTIK Masaala serves a purpose for a specific kind of consumer: the one who prioritizes speed and convenience in a bustling neighborhood. The menu is structured to be straightforward and easy to navigate, with bowls and naan wraps being the main offerings. This format allows for a quick decision and a fast turnaround, which is essential for the Midtown crowd. For someone looking for a simple meal that is different from their usual lunch routine, this place provides an option that is both accessible and relatively quick.
The a la carte options, such as the samosas and chicken seekh kababs, also provide quick snack alternatives for a midday pick-me-up. The menu also includes classic beverages like Mango Lassi and Masala Chai, which can be a refreshing addition to any meal. While the reviews highlight some potential inconsistencies with certain dishes, the availability of these classic items, along with the convenience of its location, makes it a viable option for those on the go.
In conclusion, MYSTTIK Masaala at 152 W 52nd Street is best viewed as a convenient, fast-casual Indian food option in a high-traffic area. It caters to a need for speed and accessibility, providing quick bites and easy-to-order meals for the lunch and dinner crowd. While it may not be the go-to spot for an authentic, fine-dining Indian experience, it successfully fills a niche in the Midtown dining landscape.

MYSTTIK Masaala Reviews
The food was so bad! Why does a chicken curry have so much cabbage and large potatoes. Makes no sense. It was bland, watery and extremely bad taste. The chicken kebab naan wrap was sweet and chewy. Again had tons of cabbage. Don’t recommend it if you want flavorful Indian food!
May 28 · Arushi KulshreshthI tried the chicken vindaloo rice bowl. It's fairly very spicy but lacking flavor. Chicken pieces are chunky and dry inside. There's excess liquid at the bottom of the bowl that's not blended with the sauce. I will not get it again.
February 24 · Jessica CThis was the worst Indian food I’ve ever had. I got the chicken tikka masala and it came bright red. The rice was grainy and the meal itself was watery. The chicken is dry and they put cabbage all on top of my meal. Not to mention this costed $18 and was not worth any penny of that. Save your money and go somewhere else. I also got an upset stomach and what I suspect is food poisoning from it. If I could, I would ask for a refund because this was less than satisfactory. With that being said the staff was nice.
March 13 · Nashyah BrownExcellent! I came here twice on my trip. I ordered the split bowl as pictured, and the other time I ordered the chicken vindaloo wrap extra spicy! Samosas are great too!
June 20 · Dean Riveti’m not someone to complain or write bad reviews but it’s the day after I had this meal and am still thinking about how bad it was. I got chicken tikka masala with a piece of naan. It was $24 with tip. The chicken tikka masala was bright red, watery, and flavorless. the rice was dry and grainy. the naan was dry and stale. the portion size was large but didn’t make up for the fact that it was simply not good and expensive.
