## What Is Worth Choosing at Nagi Ramen Sushi 凪料理
Nagi Ramen Sushi 凪料理 is worth choosing for New Yorkers craving genuine, high-quality Japanese comfort food, particularly its signature dishes that consistently receive stellar reviews. The true stars of this establishment are the core elements of its cuisine: the Chashu and the Karaage. The Chashu pork is described as nothing less than the "best I've ever tried," suggesting an exceptionally tender, flavorful preparation that is a crucial component of their ramen bowls. Similarly, the Karaage (Japanese fried chicken) is highlighted for its perfect texture—"really crispy and juicy without being oily"—a difficult balance to achieve, making these appetizers must-try items.
When it comes to the ramen itself, Nagi offers solid choices. The Tonkotsu ramen (both regular and spicy versions) and the Miso ramen are popular staples. Diners should be aware of the intensity of the broth and spices; the Spicy ramen is quite potent, with a friendly suggestion to request "less chili oil if you can't handle very spicy food," and the Miso ramen can sometimes lean towards a saltier profile. These notes are helpful tips from local experience, not criticisms, enabling a customized and ideal meal.
Beyond ramen, the Donburi rice bowls offer fantastic value and variety. Patrons can choose substantial meals like Gyudon (beef bowl), Unagidon (eel rice), or various Katsu options like Chicken Katsu Bowl and Pork Katsu Bowl. For a little more flavor complexity, they also offer Curry variations, such as the Curry Shrimp Tempura Bowl. These bowls, alongside Special Combo sets—like the Eel Rice Set Meal which includes Crab Salad and Japanese Clear Soup for a fixed price—provide comprehensive, affordable Japanese meals perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.
The appetizer menu is deep and flavorful, featuring items like the crispy Takoyaki, the unique flavor of Japanese Fried Oyster, and the house-specialty Ika Karaage (fried squid). Even items like the Shrimp Tempura and the small, fresh Soft Shell Crabs are noted for their high quality, occasionally requiring a pinch of salt to perfectly balance the flavors. Finally, the ability to accept Reservations and the Cozy atmosphere make Nagi Ramen Sushi 凪料理 a relaxing and reliable choice that successfully distinguishes itself as a premier Japanese comfort food spot in the heart of New York's Flushing neighborhood.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The best chashu I've ever tried! Their karaage is amazing too, really crispy and juicy without being oily.We tried the regular tonkotsu ramen and the spicy one and both are solid options, but you might want to request less chili oil if you can't handle very spicy food. Their fried soft shell crab and matcha cheesecake were also really good.Super impressed with this new restaurant, we needed a great ramen place in Flushing and this is it!
September 09 · IZLittle shop tucked away from the hustle of flushing core.My daugther says their tonkotsuramen is a 5 star, although I find my miso ramen to be a bit too salty. The tempura shrimp is not bad, could be saltier. The soft shell crabs order comes with 2 baby crabs, fresh and tasty, truly baby sized lol.The shrimp tempura somewhat lacks the salt to bring out the flavors, but we asked for some salt and it helped a lot.
May 25 · Ron ChanPros:Portion is bigPrice is affordableTakoyaki and katsu fried perfectly. Not oily at allServer very friendly and niceLovely decorCons:Booths a bit small and tightDifficult to findNotes:Did not see sushi on the menu at all despite the name of the restaurant
June 21 · Wei TamWe were disappointed about their foods. Some ingredients were supposed to be warm, but they came directly from refrigerator and were sliced into pieces in cold temperature. The indoor setting was below average. The staff were nice, but they were eating their lunch and chatting in Chinese right next to your table. Here is not a place where you look for authentic Japanese foods.
June 21 · M KAverage.Relatively quiet location but it requires a bit more walking from downtown Flushing. We ordered unagi don and Tonkotsu Ramen. The rice is hard and cold. Ramen is okay. The biggest complaint I have is the long service time. It took 40 mins to get our food and there were only 2 other tables.
