Kiku has become one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. I come here often and always enjoy their consistently delicious food. Some of my go-to dishes are the shrimp tempura – perfectly crispy with a light batter and served with a sauce that balances sweet and savory beautifully. The udon stir-fried with vegetables is also a comfort dish for me, flavorful and not too heavy. My absolute favorite, though, is the unagidon (grilled eel over rice), which is always fresh and beautifully presented – just like in the photo I’ve shared. The eel has that smoky, sweet glaze that pairs so well with the fluffy rice.To finish, I always try to get their mochi ice cream, especially the cappuccino flavor. Unfortunately, it sells out fast because it’s so popular – but whenever I’m lucky enough to get it, it’s the perfect sweet ending to the meal.Overall, Kiku combines excellent food, great presentation, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended if you’re in Park Slope!💚 - 13A13Y .J
