Pappas Pizza Introduce
Pappas Pizza, located in the vibrant downtown area of Stamford, Connecticut, is more than just a pizza place; it is a long-standing community institution. Operating from its Main Street address, this establishment has deep roots, proudly serving Stamford residents for generations. It is officially identified as a women-owned business, adding a unique and commendable dimension to its rich history.
The core of Pappas Pizza’s offering is its authentic Greek-style pizza. Unlike the thin-crust apizza often associated with New Haven, Pappas specializes in a pan-baked pie, known for its distinctively golden, thick, and crispy crust—a style that one loyal customer from Brooklyn praises for having an "amazing crust, just the right amount of snap, buttery and pastry like almost." This commitment to a specific, high-quality style has secured its place as a favorite spot for local families, solo diners, and professionals looking for a satisfying lunch or dinner.
Beyond its signature pizzas, Pappas Pizza functions as a comprehensive family restaurant and comfort food destination. The extensive menu broadens its appeal significantly, encompassing a wide variety of offerings typically found in a classic American and Greek eatery, including hot dogs, hamburgers, subs (or 'wedges' as they are known locally), and traditional Greek specialties like gyros and souvlaki. This broad range of comfort food ensures that there is a delicious and quick option for virtually any craving. While a few customers have noted occasional concerns regarding pricing perceived as high for certain items or isolated incidents of order inaccuracy, the overwhelming sentiment from the long-term customer base highlights consistent quality, excellent service, and a beloved, traditional presence in the Stamford community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Honestly I’m not the type of person to write a review, but after the guy at the register tried to scam my friend and I. Writing a review was necessary. My friend and I bought 3 slices and upon looking at the receipt they charged us almost $7 more thinking we were just some “drunk guys” they could take advantage of. After we brought it up they told us it was a mistake on their end and “good for us for noticing”. This place has bad ethics and practices will never go again
July 12 · Chris SotoI'm from Brooklyn, and i know great pizza and this is great pizza, the crust is amazing, just the right amount of snap, buttery and pastry like almost. I've ordered twice this month, The only thing I take issue with is the pricing on the direct menu is loco, and i'm still getting used to the pencil this crust edge, but I also am not big into eating crust, i leave zero behind with these pies! The chicken parm was propper and so were the cheese stick, tho i'm not sure they are made in house!, pricing seems high, But I recommend Pappas highly!
August 10 · S CSeems like they have a racial biased for sure. Walked in before a game and the guy who was in the back cursing up a storm came to the front of the store while the cashier and family member were receiving nice service from the cashier. But upon walking out the door he came this man from around the counter from the back walking up fast behind us and made a snarky remark and grabed the door from my hand and slammed/forced it closed.(This was around 4pm on a weekend) Unsure what his problem was but he was very rude. We will never visit this establishment again. Many times people think they can treat people however and forget that it can be brought to light and spoken up about . I usually order delivery for my self and guest even though I found it to be over priced and arrives burned most of the time. There are others locally better priced bigger and equal, better service. There is a few locals that treat the family great wheather we order online or especially dining in with great lunch specials and hands you a nice selection of lunch options upon arrival during those times. Ridgeway pizza Makes it easy to order and has specials. This place is quite the opposite. Your dollars matter. Don't let people treat you unwell too many options and competition to even consider this behavior.
May 03 · Abby TannorsI traveled all over the US this is the best pizza I ever had it’s so good I couldnt even tell you what their customer service is like I just get lost in the flavors!!!
July 29 · Darius AlexanderWorst customer service. Grew up on Pappas pizza as a kid but the staff there is so rude and unwelcoming. I ordered a pizza for pick up, they seemed annoyed that I was (patiently) waiting, spoke everything but English while they looked back and forth at eachother and me, I said thank you TWICE because they never acknowledged me the first time and then they (very sarcastically) said byyyeeee. So disappointing and sad that this is what Pappas has turned into.
June 21 · Jessica GordonChicken parm was delish and the young guy at the register is super kind and sweet, thank you!
October 14 · Mariana S. BatchelorThey were very rushing and food was old and felt like it was out all day. Go to Sally’s or something else
