When considering Paratha Junction, it's important to understand that its value lies in its role as a quick, no-frills takeout and delivery spot for Indian comfort food. It's designed for convenience, offering a straightforward menu for those who need a fast meal without a sit-down experience. The menu includes many popular and recognizable dishes, from Biryani to curries, making it an easy choice for a quick lunch or dinner. However, customer reviews should be taken into consideration. Some reviews mention issues with service and order accuracy, particularly regarding promotions and the in-store experience. One review from a customer highlights a negative experience where they were not allowed to dine in despite being told they could, and another review mentions a concern about a "BOGO scam" on a delivery app, where the order size was reportedly not as advertised. These reviews suggest that while the food may be a convenient option, customers should manage their expectations, especially regarding service and promotional deals. The lack of a formal dining space and the emphasis on takeout means that the customer experience is centered on efficiency rather than hospitality. For those who are simply looking for a quick and convenient meal delivered to their door, Paratha Junction may serve its purpose. However, for a more traditional or high-quality dining experience, other options in the East Village might be more suitable. It's a place that serves a specific need for a quick bite, but potential customers should be aware of the mixed feedback regarding its service and practices.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First we wanted to dine in and the place was full so the guy at the register said you can order I’ll arrange a place after someone leaves after a wait of 1 hour and 15 minutes we got our food in Togo bag I saw tables were empty and the guy said you cannot dine in or you cannot sit inside because they are service fee we had our food in our hands and they didn’t let us sit in the restaurant. Ugly faces of Indian restaurant and people working. Worst experience until now and the guy said owner won’t allow us to let you sit seriously we had our food right outside your place standing and eating our food. Still no concern. I feel very bad for places like this also the dal and chicken was frozen except paratha. Please don’t let people be in delusions of what you cannot do and take the order and money at first.
July 19 · Sharin JasaniBOGO on Uber eats is a SCAM. Restaurant will just split one order into 2 and fill up the void with more curry. There’s just 4 pieces of chicken bits in one of the ordersSCAMMY just to make it sound like a deal.
March 28 · Tzer WongMy experience at Paratha Junction's second location in the East Village was a letdown. Having previously dined at their sister restaurant in Jersey City and enjoyed an incredible meal, my expectations were high. Unfortunately, the food I ordered at this location was lackluster and disappointing. The butter chicken I ordered was incredibly oily - there was so much oil in it that I could practically bathe in it. The chicken was also slightly overcooked and lacked flavor. I was also disappointed with the aloo and chicken tikka stuffed parathas, which had been a highlight of my visit to the Jersey City location. They lacked the delicious flavor and texture that I had come to love at Paratha Junction.Overall, the food lacked seasoning and was very greasy, leaving me feeling unsatisfied. Based on my recent visit, I cannot recommend this location and will not be ordering from here again. It's a shame when a restaurant with such high potential falls short of expectations, but I hope that they can improve their food preparation and seasoning to provide a better dining experience for their customers in the future.
February 26 · Nick BhasinPeople are too hard on this place. It's 4 star quality food, but I'm giving 5 to offset the bad reviews. This is really good north Indian food. I've ordered delivery from the 2nd Ave location many times and it is always consistently good food that delivers well.
January 02 · W CranfordParatha place is my go-to place everyday as an Indian student at NYU. First things first, it’s as authentic as you can get and I am glad that across continents the establishment recreates the same magic of Indian cuisine despite the difference in ingredients! Their team is extremely hospitable - just as Indians are known to be and are very helpful in offering recommendations!Their masala chai is an everyday staple - it’s filled with various Indian spices and is exactly like the tea made at home - with milk! It’s perfect for a rainy day in the city or when things get cold, it’s the best cure.My second favourite is their paneer paratha! A hearty meal of paneer (Indian cottage cheese) with paratha (indian flat bread) is the perfect food for a winter/ stormy weather! Actually, it’s the best for any weather and at Paratha Junction it’s made to perfection! The flavour and the paneer just melts in your mouth.Their thali (lunch meal) is also great - you get to choose 2 vegetables, one dal and 2 rotis with accompaniments! It’s a nutritious wholesome meal!Paratha junction reminds me of home, and it is what has become a home away from home - transporting myself back through the food, hospitality and love they share!
