Piccolo Pinos Pizzeria Introduce
For residents and visitors in the **New York** region, particularly on Staten Island, the search for a truly reliable, quality slice of pizza and authentic Italian cooking often leads to **Piccolo Pino's Pizzeria**. Located conveniently on Port Richmond Avenue, this establishment has cemented its reputation as a neighborhood staple and a classic **Pizza restaurant**. It’s more than just a place for a quick slice; it offers a full **Italian Dishes** menu designed to satisfy serious cravings for **Comfort food**.
Piccolo Pino's carries a rich history as a **child hood pizzeria** for many locals, a testament to its consistent quality and enduring presence in the community. One loyal customer review perfectly encapsulates this sentiment, stating, "Child hood pizzeria that was always reliable. Amazing pizza I highly recommend!!" It's a place that serves the entire New York community, from **College students** needing a late-night fix to **Groups** gathering for a casual dinner.
The atmosphere is designed to be welcoming, described as **Casual** and **Cozy**, with a touch of **Trendy** appeal, making it suitable for any occasion, whether it’s a planned **Dinner** or spontaneous **Solo dining**. The menu is robust, featuring specialty pizzas like the **Hawaiian Pizza** and **Chicken Alfredo**, alongside hearty portions of **Hot Baked Dishes** like their various offerings of **Baked Ziti**, ensuring there's something for every palate. The restaurant is consistently **Popular for** both **Lunch** and **Dinner**, a true all-day dining destination.
The convenience factor is high, with excellent options for those who prefer to eat at home. As an active **Delivery Restaurant**, they offer both standard and **No-contact delivery**, making it a go-to spot for food that is served "fast n fresh," as praised by local patrons. They are also known for serving **Late-night food**, which is a crucial feature for the busy New York lifestyle.
It is important to note that, as is common with many local pizzerias, service can sometimes be variable, and the quality of specialty slices can be inconsistent. One customer review highlighted this, mentioning an issue with a slice order: "The woman who took my order, did seem a bit on the slow side. If not, she didnt know much about the pizza slices I purchased... I only got 2 slices & yet it ended up as $9+. How the hell? The pepperoni slice was both bigger & thicker than my 'Alfredo' was, that slice was super thin & flimsy." However, the same reviewer conceded that "The taste wasn't so bad that's why my review is an overall 3 stars," and praised the speed, noting, "they did heat up the pizza super fast, that is a +." This suggests that while there may be occasional hiccups, the fundamental quality and quick service of the core product remain strong.

When visiting or ordering from Piccolo Pino's Pizzeria, a local gem on **Staten Island**, there are a few items that consistently stand out as worth choosing for the quintessential New York Italian experience.
**The Classic Pie:** The highest recommendation goes to their traditional, amazing pizza. Bypass the specialty slices for your first visit and order the core cheese pie. As one reviewer attested, it's "Amazing pizza," often described as a **Solid basic pizza** which, in New York, is the highest praise for reliability. The focus should be on their reliable, time-tested recipe that has made it a "child hood pizzeria" for many.
**The Comfort Dishes:** Given the restaurant’s strong offering in **Hot Baked Dishes**, ordering the **Baked Ziti** is highly recommended. These are generous portions of Italian **Comfort food** that are perfect for a substantial **Dinner** or a satisfying family meal. These menu items represent the traditional Italian-American core of the restaurant.
**Appetizer Must-Haves:** Start with an order of the **Garlic Knots (5)** or the **Chicken Wings (8)**. These **Small plates** are perfect for sharing and provide that quick, flavorful **Appetizer** needed while waiting for a fresh pie. The quick service on heating up food suggests these will be served fast and hot.
While the specialty pizzas like **Chicken Alfredo** sound tempting, the core strength lies in their traditional pizza and Italian-American baked dishes. Stick to these well-known staples, enjoy the **Casual, Cozy** atmosphere, and leverage the speed of service, which the community highly values. For a quick and inexpensive meal, grabbing a basic slice of **Pepperoni** is a great, fast option, but for a full dining experience, the large pies and baked dishes are the most rewarding choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The woman who took my order, did seem a bit on the slow side. If not, she didnt know much about the pizza slices I purchased. I got both pepperoni & apparently Alfredo chicken even though it wasn't creamy sauce on it. ( this is the 1 with a lemon slice on it ) I only got 2 slices & yet it ended up as $9+. How the hell? The pepperoni slice was both bigger & thicker than my "Alfredo" was, that slice was super thin & flimsy. The taste wasn't so bad that's why my review is an overall 3 stars. It's really hard to find decent pizza on this Island. I will say they did heat up the pizza super fast, that is a +.

August 23 · Somar ElvirFavorite pizza spot! I live in NJ and every time I come to nyc especially Staten Island area I have to visit here and drop by for a few slices! The slices are so good crispy and cheesy fresh out the oven and they are clean and family friendly!
August 15 · Chance HaynesOrdered 2large pies kids devoured the first one. Opened the second pie it came with surprise topping we didn't order live cockroaches. I hurried a grabbed the box and threw it outside because I didn't want them critters setting up in my house. The worst part is I got hold of the store and he didn't seem a bit surprised. Yes I called the board of health. I also posted it on social media and apparently cockroaches in this establishment are a known thing. I very rarely write a bad review but this is serios
