★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Delicious food and awesome service. We got the classics and everything was good to great. They even gave us an additional little ice cream sample when they didn't have enough available for dessert. Would happily return.
July 07 · Anthony MejiaIt was okay, not the best. Had to walk to get to someone. Had to walk on the counter to pay the bill because the waiter was on her phone. Okay service. Food was mid. Green sauce was okay. Tasted better on Uber eats. Beans could've been cooked softer. The chicken was good. Give props to that. The atmosphere was okay. Didn't give clean vibes nor was it very welcoming. Look kinda rundown. But it's normal restaurant. I wouldn't go back. There are better Pio Pio than this one.
July 19 · Ryan Ramdihal6/15/25, 8pmWent here for Father’s Day. We didn’t have a reservation, we walked right in and was able to seat ourselves. Service was pretty quick as it wasn’t crowded when we were there. Dad got the Lomo Saltado ($34), while the rest of us each had the Arroz Chaufa ($24). Everyone enjoyed their meals as the food was fresh, hot and tasty.
August 24 · Janiqua MorrisShared the avo salad (big portion) and calamari appetizer. 1/4 chicken for dinner. Pretty yummy and fair prices.
May 20 · Jennifer KPio Pio 7 Restaurant ReviewDuring my recent stay at the Westgate Grand Central, I had the opportunity to visit Pio Pio 7, a Peruvian-style restaurant located about a 15-minute walk from my hotel. This was my first time experiencing Peruvian cuisine, and I had heard great things from my coworkers. Pio Pio 7 is part of a chain, as indicated by the number in its name, and this specific location had a unique, cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is narrow and rectangular in shape, with limited space, but the vibe was inviting and enjoyable.I met up with a friend for dinner, and we were seated promptly. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and accommodating despite our arrival about an hour before closing. Since I wanted to sample a variety of dishes, we ordered several items. To start, we had fried calamari and two empanadas. While the empanadas were delicious, I found them to be smaller than expected. Additionally, they contained olives, which I had forgotten are common in many Latin American dishes. Fortunately, they were easy to pick out.For our main course, we opted for the $60 sampler, which included a whole roasted chicken, a fresh salad with avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a vinaigrette glaze, as well as French fries and other accompaniments. The portion sizes were generous, and we had plenty of leftovers to take home.To drink, we ordered sangria, and I highly recommend getting a pitcher if you're dining with two or more people, as it offers a better value. The sangria was well-balanced and complemented our meal perfectly. Throughout the night, I also enjoyed practicing my Spanish with the staff, who were warm and hospitable. The restaurant was fairly busy, with many people picking up takeout orders. Some even seemed envious of the feast laid out on our table, which made the experience all the more satisfying. Although the final bill was on the expensive side, we split it evenly and felt the meal was well worth the cost.Overall, my visit to Pio Pio 7 was a great experience. Despite arriving late, the staff remained friendly and accommodating, which I truly appreciated after a long 12-hour shift. It was also my last night in Manhattan before heading home, so being able to take leftovers made it even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a delicious Peruvian meal in a cozy, hole-in-the-wall setting, I highly recommend Pio Pio 7.
