★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It was 1am and I was starving, struggling to find something that looked good on Uber Eats, especially with limited vegan options that late. I’m so glad I took a chance on this spot! Hands down one of the best fried chick’n burgers I’ve ever had. It’s been a month and I’m still thinking about it 😅 Not the greatest picture lol
June 19 · Jouanna JThis place is seriously awesome. I don’t understand the low reviews. I’m a vegan and a fully vegan deli??! What more can you ask for.The staff is super nice, they have drinks and other things in stock, and the prices are seriously reasonable. Compared to everything else in Flatiron, this place is a god send. The food also tasted good. I walk by all these breakfast food carts in the morning, and I really wish I could just pick up a bagel or a bacon egg and cheese, well… now I can!Definitely recommended going here for your plant based, dairy free, lactose intolerant, vegan needs. 😊
September 17 · Ravi KuraniThis has been a local spot I’ve really enjoyed, but unfortunately, there have been repeated issues with orders not being taken correctly and being charged inaccurately. On more than one occasion, I’ve ordered two sandwiches and only received one—then was met with defensiveness and told I only ordered one, which felt dismissive and gaslighting. Mistakes happen, but the way we were treated afterward was rude and unprofessional. It’s disappointing, especially since we liked the convenience, but we’ve decided not to spend our money here anymore.
July 01 · Libby BorchertReading some of the low star reviews honestly shocks me. This is AMAZING. At 1am I managed to find a place doing a whole damn deli menu of delicious vegan food. And most of it under $10. Oh and it was deep! There was like 20 choices. You have to be kidding me if you think this is anything other than genius. And incredible progress.I got the deli chicken sub and it was absolutely banging. Any hart house, Monty’s, veggie grill etc would be happy to have served that.I guess it’s possible for some cross contamination but I’m the kind of vegan who cares whether I personally parted with money that supports animal cruelty, which I most certainly did not-the incredible opportunity to both the vegan community and community at large Plantega provides here should be celebrated.Thankyou to the people whose idea this was.And the sandwich was truly awesome too. Can’t wait to explore the menu though sadly not a local.Do yourself a favour, go and support this vegan business!
June 27 · ChrisMy husband and I stopped in to try and get breakfast over the weekend. I ordered the Vegan bacon egg and cheese on a roll, my husband ordered the vegan chicken tender sub. The man behind the counter didn't seem familiar with the items on the menu and had to carefully read the descriptions as we showed him. After about 5 minutes of waiting the person making the food called out to my husband that he didn't have the chicken tenders. No problem, my husband ordered the vegan spicy breakfast burrito. A few more minutes pass, he tells us he doesn't have the vegan chorizo. My husband then ordered the vegan sausage egg and cheese on a roll. The man calls out, "Okay, 2 bacon egg and cheese?" (because I had already ordered and he started mine already), my husband corrected him to the vegan sausage egg and cheese, and the man stated he doesn't have the vegan sausage. My husband asked what he DID have, and the answer was "bacon". At this point we decided to leave, what a ridiculous experience. How are you going to be the "award winning flagship store" for something and then don't have most of the ingredients you actually need to make the "award winning" food?!On top of that, the staff having no idea what was in each menu item is concerning, especially if there are severe dietary restrictions, I wouldn't trust that they'd get the order right. There is also a TON of cross contamination going on- this is something that if you do have severe restrictions- you need to know about. I don't care what "cleanliness" measures have supposedly been taught to the employees, I wouldn't trust it, especially now.I gave a 3/5 on the atmosphere, it seemed clean and well kept for a bodega. This place is a joke otherwise, and you'd be wise to skip it.
