February 14 · Anthony CorteseIt’s our second time at Polpo. We were directed to the bar to have a drink until our table was ready and we had a delightful experience. After an hour we asked if our table was ready and we were sadly sent upstairs. It seemed to be a place nobody wanted to be in. There were 5 tables filled in a gigantic room, one table insisted on being moved. The staff clearly recognized how sad the room was and offered us a comp charcuterie board, it was an extremely nice gesture. They were all lovely. It all went downhill when we paid the bill and my wife stepped into the ladies room and the manager asked me how it was, I told her upstairs wasn’t great. She told me I should have waited for a better table. I told her I waited over an hour and she said I should have made reservations earlier. A bottle of Brunello and meals, appetizers, desserts, drinks later, it didn’t feel like a lovely experience save for the hard working waiters, bartenders and service staff. The lady who was the manager was cold and unfriendly and will not be receiving future recommendations on our behalf. I really want to come back but feel unappreciated by management. Best wishes and hopefully we can do better at another restaurant in the group.

Donna the hostess is the sweetest and Avnor always makes sure my experience is great. Definitely try the steak and the truffle ravioli. The napoleon is the best dessert. Worth the trip from out of town for Polpo!
July 06 · Carly LittI really enjoyed this place. The octopus was super tender and tasty. Also, the carbonara was good.I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very nice and chatty.Also the bar is right next to the pianist that is great. We enjoy the whole experience. I could definitely repeat.
