I was really excited to try this place but I feel like the buzz for this place was overhyped and the vision behind the restaurant seemed confusing to me. Are you trying to be a family oriented restaurant or a nightclub? At 7pm the lights dimmed and the music from the DJ was blasting and not only could I not hear each other talk but also I couldn’t see the cook on my chicken properly because the lighting was so off.I was also confused on how to order considering it asked us to check off how many portions we want of the food - like how would we know what the portion size is to begin with. For example after we just checkmarked the appetizer for fried chicken it came out with the tiniest 2 pieces that we had to request again for 4 portions. Wouldn’t it make more sense just to give the portion size that is appropriate for the party size? The food was average. Our booth was so huge that we had to push the booth chairs closer to the table or otherwise we would have to stand up each time to get to the bbq pit. All the sides and accompaniments came in separate small plates and it just made me curious if everything comes out in small portions with separate plates for everything, how many plates is this place going to be washing per table. Wouldn’t it be easier using one of those serving platters per table and having everything on that? It would take up less space too and rotating ones would make it easier for bigger groups instead of every person having their own small plates that take up half the table. The 30% food wastage fee is also absurd to me because I’m sure everyone just wants to try a little bit of everything and what if one thing they ordered they didn’t like, why should they have to pay 30% for that. I didn’t like some of the dishes I ordered but thankfully my husband eats everything so I just gave it to him. Service was also lackluster. First round of food we ordered I asked for the mozzarella corn appetizer and it never came so we asked again when we ordered our second round. Obviously it’s all inclusive so we’re not charged for it but on the bill it showed as it counted twice. We asked for a second coke we never received. We kept getting food coming to our table we never ordered or already received so we kept having to send it back. Our grill stopped working twice and had to be reignited. There was no dessert menu and when we inquired we were told they will check to see if they have any matcha cake left. Also the hostess in the front were too busy gossiping and talking to themselves. I just felt like the whole environment was off. We’ve tried Eatzy Thai kbbq a few years ago and we felt like that was a much better experience and also included hot pot. I just felt like this dining experience was a miss for us personally. - Hafsha Hafiz
