Provini has quickly become a local favorite, recognized for its commitment to serving fresh, house-made pastas and high-quality dishes that honor classic Italian traditions. The restaurant’s ambiance is a key part of its appeal, with options for intimate indoor dining or a delightful experience in its "fully enclosed" outdoor seating area. Whether you're planning a romantic date night, a relaxed dinner with friends, or a satisfying solo meal, Provini's setting and service make it a perfect choice.
The menu at Provini is a testament to the kitchen's dedication to quality and flavor. Diners can start their meal with a selection of delicious antipasti like the Burrata or Carciofi, before moving on to the main event: the pasta. With a focus on organic and house-made pasta, the dishes are fresh and satisfying, as noted by a customer who described the pasta as "very fresh and tastes excellent." The selection includes everything from a classic Bolognese to the more unique Tagliolini al Nero di Seppia (squid ink tagliolini). Beyond pasta, the menu features a selection of "Secondi" such as the Tagliata di Manzo and the Milanese, ensuring that all cravings are met. The restaurant also holds its own in a neighborhood with tough Italian competition, with one reviewer noting that despite the options like Pasta Louise and Piccoli, Provini "holds its own!" This is a place where the chefs and staff pour their passion into every detail, from the food to the service, creating a consistently positive experience for its patrons. The staff, known for their "top tier" and friendly service, adds a personal touch that makes every visit memorable.

What is worth choosing
For those in New York seeking a truly memorable Italian meal, Provini offers several compelling reasons to choose it over the competition. The most significant factor is the quality of its food, particularly the pasta. As noted by customers, the pasta is "very fresh" and "well made and satisfying," a clear sign of the kitchen's dedication. While not every dish may be a "mind-blowing" experience, the consistent quality and comforting flavors of the house-made pasta dishes, like the Bolognese or Lasagna, make them a safe and delightful choice. The Lasagna, with its mix of beef, veal & pork ragù, béchamel, and parmesan, is a perfect example of the rich comfort food that Provini excels at. The attention to detail in their ingredients, including the use of organic produce and high-quality meats, ensures that the foundation of every dish is solid.
Beyond the main courses, the desserts at Provini are a true standout and alone make a visit worthwhile. The Tiramisu Della Casa is a "knock out of the park" according to one reviewer, who trusted a waiter’s recommendation and was not disappointed. Another customer was equally thrilled with the "Parmesan Crème Brûlée," calling it a "total highlight" and "really unique and delicious." These unique and expertly crafted desserts demonstrate the restaurant’s ability to surprise and delight, providing a perfect end to any meal. The dining experience is further enhanced by the exceptional service. The friendly and helpful staff, who are known for their "top tier" service, make you feel welcome and valued from the moment you arrive. They are happy to offer recommendations and ensure that everything moves at a "good pace," contributing to a relaxed and enjoyable evening. The combination of high-quality, authentic Italian food (with a focus on pasta), standout desserts, and genuinely great service solidifies Provini as a must-visit spot in the Park Slope neighborhood.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Had a great time eating here. This was our second visit and the service is always top tier. The pasta is very fresh and tastes excellent. The guy waiter with the ponytail is awesome, he recommended the tiramisu without missing a beat and lemme tell you - the man was right on the money. It’s a knock out of the park. The vibe & aesthetic of their outside seating is also quite enjoyable as well.
September 21 · Jahquan WynderThere are a lot of Italian restaurants in Park Slope: Pasta Louise, Piccoli...so the competition is pretty tough, but Provini holds its own!The service was really nice. Staff was friendly and everything moved at a good pace. The pasta was solid. Nothing mind-blowing but definitely well made and satisfying. I absolutely lost my mind over the the parmesan crème brûlée. Total highlight—really unique and delicious!!!The kale salad wasn’t great. The texture was rough and it tasted pretty bitter with no other flavors shining through. Probably wouldn’t order that again.Overall, Provini is a good option in the area. Not a standout across the board, but worth checking out, especially for the service and that crème brûlée.
June 01 · Yiyi ZhangI saved this place as my favorites in the beginning, the food is actually really great, at least from what I and my girlfriends have tried. But when they brought us our check, the excitement went down. First of all they are including tips already to the bill, I mean we were party of three, why would you do this? I understand it’s necessary in the USA, and still tips is tips, there’s no law on it and it should be on the customers direction, shouldn’t it? Not like additional mandatory charge of 22% (22%??) Again I understand it would be a party of 8 or more people, but to include into the bill of everyone is kinda lame. And then 22%? What made you guys think we would want to leave 22%? 20% is standard for all the restaurants, in Europe it’s way less and the food and service is often way better (especially the food). I do not agree to be imposed to pay 22% especially when I don’t think I want to leave that much (for the wine that both me and girlfriend had to wait and to remind waiters to bring us, several times, as an excuse example). And even more, on top of that, you guys are counting tips of 22% from the amount that’s already with the tax?? This smells like a deceit to me, I’m sorry I don’t like when places do that. The tips should be calculated off the pretax money. I don’t like to be cheated upon in restaurants. So even though the food (what we ate) was really great, not sure I will go there again and have unhighlighted from my favorites places, I don’t like when the people andplaces force me to pay more by overstating the amount due.As an update thank you for settling the bill, I understand there was an error, next time I will try to settle the issue at the restaurant before writing frustrating review, apologies in my return for overreacting. I still stand by my statement that the food was great.
June 11 · Lucy AsabinaWe sat outside and I had the gnudi. Provini felt casual and friendly and the food was quite good. They can't serve alcohol beyond wine and beer because they are near a school, but the wine selection is good. This place specializes in pasta, which they executed very well. Also recommend the parmesan crème brûlée.
May 13 · Daniel K ElkinIf you're looking for a delicious Italian meal in the neighborhood, look no further than Provini! As a local resident, I've had the pleasure of dining at this establishment several times, and I have yet to be disappointed. Their friendly staff itself is a great reason to be there. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and friendly staff create a welcoming environment that makes you feel right at home. And let's not forget about the food! Their menu boasts a variety of classic Italian dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. One standout dish that I can't get enough of is their homemade pasta. It's perfectly cooked and has a wonderfully chewy texture that pairs perfectly with their rich, flavorful sauces. But it's not just the main courses that are noteworthy. Their appetizers and desserts are also top-notch. The bruschetta is a personal favorite of mine, and the tiramisu is simply divine.Overall, I highly recommend giving Provini a try. Whether you're looking for a romantic date night spot or a casual dinner with friends, this place is sure to please. And with reasonable prices, you won't have to break the bank to enjoy a fantastic meal 😍 enjoy and have a wonderful time 🍷😁🍝❤️ what more? Oh yes I also like their decoration, a true Brooklyn style classic NYC setting in a great neighborhood
