★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Went to Punjabi Dhaba in Hicksville and absolutely loved it! The food was super authentic and delicious — felt like real home-style Punjabi cooking. Portion sizes were just right, and the lassi came in a whole jug (such a nice touch!).The owner was really kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to when I’m craving good Punjabi food.
October 02 · Nagraj KamathI had such an amazing experience at Punjabi Dhaba! The thali was absolutely delicious — every dish was packed with authentic flavors that reminded me of true home-style Punjabi cooking. The dal was rich and comforting, the sabzi perfectly spiced, and the curry had just the right balance of creaminess and flavor. The rice was fluffy, the raita refreshing, and the gulab jamun at the end was the sweetest finishing touch. The portion size was generous, service was quick, and the staff was warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is simple yet cozy, exactly what you’d expect from a proper dhaba experience. If you’re craving real Punjabi food in New York, this is the place to be. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be coming back again! 🙌
September 22 · sarbjit kaurUncle Ji who was in the front was very nice and gave very great service. Punjabi Dhaba is a place that has good service and great positive atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to everyone if they want quality food.
September 21 · Navjot SinghThe hospitality is great. The owner is so welcoming. Welcome drink is not just regular water, its lassi as Panjabi families host at home in a steel jug and unlimited supply accompanied by steel glasses and food served in stainless steel plates. Very homely environment. The food was great. Papdi Chaat was so delicious. Kulcha was well stuffed and crispy up to the mark not burnt. Perfectly buttered and well done. We ordered Kala chana which was super hit among the family, the gravy was so good and a very unique taste. Thali was equally good and portion size was perfect for 2 people. Sweets were excellent. This is a hidden gem in Hicksville among so many restaurants we just happen to be there. Wondering why we haven't discovered this place before. While paying bill the owner saw my daughter in scrubs and ask what position she is into medical profession and I mention she is a physician, he said we are so proud of our daughters and offered sweets without any charge to her. Very polite and humble man by the counter.
September 06 · Mamta JoshiI loved their food and service. I want to go back during their thali hours and try it. The guy was nice and have us free chaas. I'll decibel recommend this spot and go back. Great job!
April 23 · Sam RParathas and Roti were tasty,The thali was good. They have butter on rotis but for some reason we don’t get the smell or taste of the butter or ghee!Currys were good. This place seems to serve home style food as there was very less salt or oil.
