A key drawing point is the bakery’s expertise in traditional breads. You simply cannot overlook their Pita Bread, offered in five different varieties, a testament to their heritage and namesake. Equally important is the Heimishe Challah, which is consistently mentioned as a top choice in the Queens area, available in nearly ten different styles, including the popular Crown shapes for special occasions. The bakery’s longevity—spanning "decades"—is the ultimate seal of approval, signifying consistent quality that has withstood the test of time and changing culinary trends. This is a place where every item, from the delightful danishes to the robust rye bread, has been perfected over years of dedicated service.

When you want the real taste of a decades-old, community-focused, kosher-certified Queens bakery, this is the destination. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Traditional kosher bakery that has been in the same spot for decades. Staff can sometimes be rude but mostly friendly. Never had anything bad here my entire life.
August 17 · JiGoDThe best bakery in Queens-delightful danishes, wonderful hamantashen, cakes, cookies, breads and pies of all kinds…lovely sweet ladies behind the counter. One small objection: covid crisis ended 2+ years ago-PLEASE stop wrapping the hamantashen and cheese danish in plastic!!! Causes the lovely pastry/crust to lose crispness and freshness which is so essential to its quality!!! NO MORE PLASTIC WRAPS!!!! PLEASE!!!!
July 14 · gilbert artmanThis used to be the lovely local bakery where you became a part of the family but that is only one person in the bakery. Everyone else makes it feel like you are a bother and have kicked people out for becoming friends with the one staff who is nice, it doesn't matter if you buy stuff everyday or that you are a loyal paying customer. Go anywhere else.
April 09 · Hodayah FelzenbergSo stale! I bought a Tagelach yesterday for Yom Kippur and it was petrified! My guests couldn’t even pull off 1 dough ball. Even the chocolate mandel bread was as dry as rye. I’m so disappointed and have been a customer for many many years. If I didn’t live so far, I’d bring the items back.
September 25 · Daphna ALook at the comments and see the common themes of racism. I rarely leave poor reviews but the behavior here was absolutely unacceptable and should be brought to attention.Came here with my girlfriend and spoke some chinese at an acceptable volume, and instantly noticed the old lady at the cash register giving us a death glare the entire time. We choose a cake indicated for Passover, and the woman is basically shouting at us that it's not a normal cake, but for a Jewish tradition. I don't even bother to inquire about what is different about a Passover cake because of her trash attitude, and my girlfriend proceeds to pay with apple pay as we get rung up. She instantly starts screeching at us that we've done some terribly wrong, and yelling at us that we've done something that should have been obvious (we paid with an amex card but there's no indication anywhere that amex isn't accepted). Obviously the payment goes through despite amex not being "allowed".Then a nice Jewish couple indicates to us that Passover cakes are typically Gluten Free, and tell us other options that we could purchase that would be better. Even before I begin to ask the cashier about the other options, she immediately cuts us off and screams "NO, YOU ALREADY BOUGHT IT, NO IT'S DONE, GO".What an absolutely awful person. I highly recommend not coming here if you're Asian.
