Located in the heart of Prospect Heights, this establishment is a must-visit destination for New Yorkers who appreciate the high art of baking. It is a true "New York style bakery," drawing influence from Italian breads, French viennoiserie, and classic American sandwiches, all executed with technical mastery by chef-owner Kelly Mencin and her team. The result is a menu that is both familiar and revelatory, featuring everything from light, buttery croissants to thick, chewy focaccia slices used as the base for staggeringly delicious gourmet sandwiches.
Radio Bakery has earned its reputation not through simple hype, but through an unwavering commitment to quality and process. Customers consistently praise the high quality of the ingredients and the sophisticated, yet simple, flavors. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I stopped by Radio Bakery and tried their turkey sandwich and corn croissant, and both were delicious. The sandwich was fresh with a nice balance of flavors, and the corn croissant was buttery with a unique sweet corn taste that I really enjoyed. The bakery itself has a warm, inviting vibe and the staff were kind and welcoming. I did wait about half an hour for my food, but honestly it was worth it once I got to taste everything. This feels like the kind of spot you go to when you want to slow down, enjoy good food, and take in the atmosphere. I’d happily come back to try more from their menu.
September 14 · FloraRadio Bakery is a really cute little spot to grab a bite and some coffee. It’s quite popular, so expect a line. That said, it’s worth the wait. Plus, the line moves pretty fast.A lot of their stuff seems fairly simple, but the quality is high. So, even if the ham and butter sandwich sounds boring or plain, I assure you it’s not.Highly recommend getting an iced latte to wash down your food. It’s very reasonably priced, and you can add syrup yourself if you want it sweetened or flavored.Take your food and drink to a local park, and you’ll have a great time. Can’t recommend it enough.
May 24 · Eddy GThis is probably the most trending NYC bakery. As the matter of fact I just came across the list of top 15 NY bakery and this place was mentioned on the first place. Unlike any other bakery they are pretty heavy not just on the sweet variety, but on savory options as well. And they deliver! I couldn't say what is really my favorite there as everything is really delicious and they are constantly rotating their options. But let me give you one example- in general i don't like tofu, I don't like the way it looks, tastes, don't like the texture and don't think it is healthy especially for men. But! You have to try their spicy tuna sandwich, which has tofu as well. It is OMG! Get ready your taste buds to explode on excitement! Also don't miss their signature pistachio croissant. The place is small and very popular, so get ready to stay in lane, especially on a weekend. In average prepare to spend at least 30-40 minutes , but it well worth it. Also this place isn't cheap, but again worth every penny. They also have quite good coffee.
June 26 · Alex SerebrovMy husband and I were spending the day near grand Army Plaza, and decided to finally try. We waited about a half hour in line, but I have to say, it was worth the wait!Immediately, we could smell the delicious air of unique pastries pastries baking. Also, there are many sandwich options. Everything is baked fresh all day with very friendly staff! We decided to try two sweet pastries, and two savory pastries: Cheesy Pretzel Bearclaw, Scallion Sesame Twist, Cinnamon Bun & a Pistachio Croissant. All were incredible!Bearclaw - with crispy cheese & a salty pretzel finish it’s so tasty with notes of mustard and other seasonings.Scallion Sesame Twist - Soft, buttery & flaky like an homage to scallion pancakes with sesame seeds adding textures of crunchiness.Cinnamon Bun - this bun is a perfect balance of Salty and sweet and really leans into a fresh cinnamon flavor. The sugar-glaze on top is really on point.Pistachio Croissant - Wow, for lack of better word… magical. This buttery flaky croissant is only elevated by embracing natural pistachio flavors. From its pistachio crunchiness on top down to its deliciously-smooth pistachio middle, this is a win!Note: While there is a few outdoor seats, this is primarily a take-out spot.
April 26 · Adriana De PitkinSame quality as the location on India Street with some slight menu differencecs. We arrived at around 8:05 am on a Saturday and there was a short line. We were in the store ordering by 8:18 am. There is also some outdoor seating which is great for enjoying your pastries. We got the smoked salmon focaccia, custard and stone fruit croissant, heirloom croissant, and coconut almond chocolate croissant. Everything was delicious but the highlights were the smoked salmon focaccia and custard and stone fruit croissant. Radio Bakery is a much visit for baked goods.
