S&P Lunch Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In a city that is constantly reinventing itself, S&P Lunch stands as a cherished and enduring piece of New York’s culinary history. Located in the Flatiron District, this restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it is a time capsule, a classic diner with a historic feel that has been a beloved fixture of the neighborhood for decades. The atmosphere is immediately welcoming, with a vibe that a customer perfectly described as "home-cooked diner food." The narrow interior, complete with counter seating and the classic sounds of a bustling kitchen, evokes a sense of nostalgia that is hard to replicate. S&P Lunch is celebrated for its commitment to classic, comforting fare, with a menu that focuses on what it does best: sandwiches, soups, and diner staples. While the menu is simple, the quality is where it shines. Their classic sandwiches, especially the pastrami on rye, are renowned among locals and tourists alike for their incredible flavor and a satisfying blend of tradition and deliciousness. This is a place that values substance over flash, where the food is prepared with "lots of love and flavor" and the service is fast and efficient, even during the busy lunch rush. Whether you're a long-time New Yorker who remembers its previous life as Eisenberg's or a visitor looking for an authentic taste of the city, S&P Lunch offers a unique and memorable experience. It’s a place where you can sit at the counter, watch your meal being prepared, and feel the genuine, hardworking energy of a classic New York establishment. It’s not just a meal; it's a slice of history and a taste of the city’s heart and soul.

Had a blt and you best believe it was the best blt I’ve had, lots of love and flavor put into the food
September 06 · Lily RaineAn old school feeling diner with a simple menu of breakfast classics and sandwiches. I had a pretty solid western omelette, my friend said the turkey reuben was fantastic and we both loved the light and fluffy pancakes.
August 11 · Matt BAmazing authentic NYC diner experience. Opened in the 1920s. Food and service were unbeatable. Corned beef hash was my husband's favorite meal on this trip. Pastrami omelet was a lot of flavor but I'm glad I tried it. Bottomless coffee with toast and OJ in a corner booth was heaven for me. Highly recommend.
April 17 · Maggie QuinnVisiting from Ontario I needed to have a deli sandwich with the reuben being my go to.There was a lineup but it went fast and you got to see what others were ordering before you sat down. Pastrami reuben, onion rings, ginger ale, and a tuna melt for the wife. The pastrami melted in your mouth and the rye was perfectly toasted!! Overall a must visit on you trip to NY.
March 22 · Brad WhiteA classic diner spot! It’s a small restaurant but with classic eats done right. They are known for their tuna melt, and for good reason! The tuna was buttery and super smooth and the bread was delicious (and a little herbaceous!). The fries were ok. (I wish they were crispier on the outside.)
