★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Not as good or authentic as what I actually got in Japan but a lot better then many other restaurants. The Kitsune Udon was very nice. The best part was the noodles but I also enjoyed the tofu. They also have a buffet of items that have been stuck in tempura batter but I hate seeing things left out. Fresh tempura is always better. As a tea geek I also appreciate their nod to Japanese society with free tea. Not the best tea but still free.
September 04 · Tiffany RuppNoodle shop with a Google review you get a free drink!Beef Udon was a bit bitter for my liking. I might just like my beef udon on the sweeter side. They were generous on the beef but it was mostly fat. The egg was an add on for either $2.75 or $2.95, I don’t remember. But the egg flavor was great!
May 31 · AHighly recommended to the students and faculty around NYU, who wants hearty food without wait! I had the beef udon and I like that the beef is thick and has very generous portion. The tempura crab stick and the soft boiled egg are also really delicious!
April 21 · Xinyi XuA masterpiece of fast casual udon. Yes, everyone in here is talking about how they’re decorating their dorms and how could they focus on homework when they’ve finally made it to the big city? This spot was possibly hand selected and placed here by NYU, they likely take dining credits. Yes. And still I got the best dipping udon ever for $7. There’s free hot oolong tea. The bathroom code is 0810. there’s a buffet of tempura shrimps, fish cake, mushroom that looks like veins in a lung, and boiled egg all for mostly under $2 a pop. My throat is doing that thing like before you start crying because I finished my food and I can only drink 6 cups of oolong in 1 sitting so I probably have to leave. Society gives college kids a pass for loitering though, when I come back I’ll bring a laptop
September 18 · Jessie DeardorffI was pleasantly surprised by the light and refreshing broth. The tempura was also perfectly crispy! I would definitely recommend if you want a midday palate cleanser and a quick bite to eat.
