They exceeded our expectations on all fronts, as a beautiful dining establishment with fantastic food.I’m a gluten-eater and the gluten-free calamari might have been the best calamari I’ve ever had. The red sauce on the side was absolutely incredible, and I almost just spooned some up like it was soup.For my main, I had the lasagna. It was well-crafted and, most importantly, also came in a delicious sauce. It was exactly the right amount of food I needed.Be aware, they only accept cash or Amex. I think they have an ATM on-site, but it’s always best to be prepared, especially considering most dishes will set you back $30-$40 plus tax and tip.

September 11 · Michael CroftWe've visited Senza Gluten by Jemiko several times for their fully gluten-free menu -- a big plus for us.On our latest Wednesday evening visit, the restaurant was comfortably busy with theatergoers. It's a cozy space, though a bit cramped. Service was friendly but inconsistent; we had to ask for basics like water, and our chicken Parmesan came with the wrong pasta. Other nearby tables had similar issues. Note: they only accept cash and AMEX (ATM onsite).We started with the $6 bread basket -- unusual for an Italian spot to charge for bread, but the baguette bread was excellent (we ordered more). The other breads were forgettable, and the balsamic vinegar was overly thick. The calamari with spicy tomato sauce on sage was delicious, but the portion felt too small.For mains, the lasagna lacked structure and a clear pasta base, and was weighed down by oil. The chicken Parmesan was fine, though let down by a thin sauce and the wrong pasta.Tiramisu was the standout -- along with the baguette -- and ended the meal on a high note.After several visits, each experience feels a bit less special. At $220 for two, this one didn't feel worth it. Still, a solid option for celiacs and gluten-free diners if food and service improve.

The staff is always so kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating to dietary needs/restrictions. Being close to someone who has celiac, this place puts me at ease knowing they are fully gluten-free.As for the food - UNREAL. From their drinks, to their pasta dishes, to their desserts (try the tiramisu, thank me later), I can safely say this is my favorite place to eat, both in NY and outside. Thank you to the lovely staff and chefs who go above and beyond every time to make each guest feel welcome!! Their dedication and passion is so evident, and I just cannot say enough good things about them. Long story short, whether you are GF or not, Senza Gluten by Jemiko is an absolute essential NYC stop!!!
July 22 · Madison GambleFinally went to see Wicked on Broadway and wanted to celebrate with a nice dinner beforehand. I realized that I was in walking distance to this 100% gluten free Italian restaurant that I had wanted to try.I was surprised to see a bread basket on the menu and had to order it first thing! Next we shared an impossibly crispy calamari app, the truffle cheese stuffed arancini of my dreams and breaded cauliflower parmigiana which I had no idea would work as well as it did. It was probably my favorite bite! And of course we had to try the pastas too. I ordered the pasta alle vongole and peperoncino which was fresh, plentiful and the spaghetti was perfectly al dente. Left very full and happy!
