What Is Worth Choosing
For New York area diners, Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar offers a compelling proposition: an acclaimed, sophisticated dining experience without the stress of a trip into Manhattan. The restaurant’s multi-layered appeal is what makes it a must-visit destination.
First and foremost, the authenticity of the Persian cuisine is its heart and soul. Dishes like the Pomegranate Chicken (Pom Torsh Chicken Kabob or Fesenjoon) paired with the sweet and sour Albaloo Polo (sour cherry and pistachio rice) offer a complex, memorable flavor profile that is truly unique to the area. While some kabob dishes have received mixed reviews on consistency, the overall attention to traditional stews and rice preparation is a powerful draw for those seeking authentic Persian tastes. The Shirazi Salad ($15.75) is the perfect refreshing, finely-diced counterpart to the rich main courses.
Secondly, the atmosphere and service make it perfect for any celebratory or intimate occasion. The upscale, elegant setting combined with attentive, friendly staff (who are noted for giving excellent recommendations) ensures that the entire experience—from the first glass of wine to the last spoonful of Saffron Ice Cream—is polished and enjoyable. The celebrated wine list, featuring bottles carefully selected for pairing with the Persian spices, adds another layer of sophistication that discerning diners will appreciate.
Finally, for those with diverse palates, the surprising addition of a high-quality Sushi menu, including items like Tuna Nigiri ($15.75) and Yellow Tail Nigiri ($12.60), makes Shiraz a unique venue where different cravings can be satisfied in a single, refined setting. The commitment to catering to dietary needs, particularly the extensive availability of gluten-free, vegan, and healthy options, further solidifies its reputation as a thoughtful and accommodating choice for the Westchester dining scene. Whether you are coming for a quick lunch, a romantic dinner, or to explore a cuisine that has earned national recognition, Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar is a standout choice worth the visit.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Absolutely love this place! I’ve been coming here for a while and it never disappoints. Flavorful food, big portions, and wonderful staff. The saffron ice cream and pomegranate chicken with albaloo are must-tries! The staff is very friendly and always give good recommendations.
September 13 · Chiroshri BhattacharjeeIt has a great atmosphere — the space is elegant, the vibe is relaxed, and the service is professional from start to finish. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and the setting made for a comfortable dining experience. We started with the kashk-e bademjan, which was decent, enjoyable enough. The disappointment came with the main course: the kabobs. As someone who’s had kabobs across many Persian restaurants and knows what good ones taste like, I was genuinely surprised at how bland and low-quality they were. The meat lacked seasoning, depth, and tenderness, which made the beautiful presentation all the more frustrating. The biggest issue, though, is the price — Shiraz is shockingly expensive for what it offers, and while I understand paying more for ambiance and service, the food just doesn’t measure up. Overall, it’s a nice place to sit and be served, but if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Persian cuisine, especially kabobs, this isn’t it.
July 06 · MassimoLovvvvve this place ❤️ a very relaxed vibe, amazing food and great wine in beautiful wine glasses!! My bf loves the Pomegranate chicken and i lovvve the branzino dish. Will be coming here many many more times with my bf for the amazing food 😍😍🤤 Owner and waiters are all very professional, inviting and nice.
September 28 · Mandi LShiraz Kitchen Wine & Bar completely redefined my love for sushi! I had stopped eating sushi for years, but this place made me revisit the experience—and I’m so glad I did. The sushi bar here is nothing short of incredible. Every roll is made with the freshest ingredients and such care that it’s impossible not to fall in love with it all over again. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the presentation is stunning—it’s truly an art form. The staff were welcoming and attentive, adding to the overall fantastic experience. Shiraz isn’t just a restaurant; it’s where I rediscovered a love for sushi in the best possible way.If you’re near White Plains, don’t miss out. This place is a game-changer!
August 26 · Denise MeloI discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant in White Plains, NY, just a few minutes' drive from Greenwich, CT. The food is incredibly delicious, fresh, and bursting with flavor, and the portions are generous. The service was top-notch as well. They also offer a beautiful private room, perfect for large groups and special occasions. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try—you'll definitely find yourself coming back for more. Plus, it's within walking distance of the Westchester Mall!
