★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A great little cocktail bar that seemed to have a pretty good food menu. I’m definitely going to flag this place and come back fr brunch and dinner maybe. The breakfast menu in particular looked good. The drinks were good! $11 for a martini is a great price and while it might not blow you away it was the best couple of martinis we’ve had in the city for $12 or less!
December 06 · Blake RasmussenWe stayed here in May for our daughter's Law School graduation from USC. She lives locally so we were pleased to stay at such a cute boutique hotel. Room was perfect, well kept by the maid service we had (envelope in room said Anna, although we never met here, the room was extremely clean) Bed very comfortable, grounds exactly as pictured, no smoke and mirrors here! Check in was simple and they knew we were in for our daughter graduation so the next day we had a congratulatory card, balloon, fresh baked cookies (what a surprise and very sweet) Spent a lot of time at bar/restaurant and the people were so welcoming. Bartender Jeremy and server Kat made the experience perfect. Chef made some amazing tidbits. LOVE their bread, Broccolini with lemon and toasted breadcrumbs just to name a few. Right across from the framers market and an iconic breakfast spot DuPars (fabulous). next to farmers market is the Grove also an Iconic spot. Great experience throughout. Will definitely stay here when we visit our daughter in the future.
June 04 · Licia McClary- TrifoglioThe long story short, Sunday brunch experience was great. The food was very tasty. Especially pancakes and chicken sandwich. And of course espresso martini was done right- delicious with 3 beans on top. We will be back!
December 20 · Marilyn RI visited Short Stories for drinks and was pleasantly surprised by the owner's recommendation of an upcoming cocktail – a unique spin on a mojito that was absolutely delicious! The cozy environment adds to the charm, and I can't wait to go back and try their renowned food. Special shoutout to Jess, the bartender, who was not only well-informed but also incredibly friendly. A delightful experience overall!
January 31 · tamara balazsovitsWe had a wonderful time at Short Stories yesterday! From the first bite to the last sip, every moment was perfect. The menu has a bunch of tasty options. The Lobster ravioli and Parker House rolls were top-notch, and it's cool that they make everything in-house! The plates are made for sharing, so we got to try a bit of everything.Even for someone not particularly fond of beef tartare, the way chef makes it there is irresistible. The octopus was tender and tasty, showing off the chef's skills. Choosing a favorite dish was tough, but I went with the Octopus—it was divine! The wine pairings were spot-on, and they even use fancy wine glasses. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, perfect for a great night out. The service was friendly, and the staff had a youthful vibe, making it a welcoming place. In a nutshell, our night was perfect, and we left super happy. This restaurant is now one of our favorites, and we're already planning our next visit. This place is a real gem!
